Yeah lee has been the king of the jungle for a long time now if we take the averages, he's always been at the very top or near it. The only champ that comes close to him is elise, she has been extremely dominant despite tons of nerfs but she was released way after. Do note that these 2 saw a lot less play during the OP feral flare era but it didn't last very long.

I keep getting a player has failed to select a champion even though everyone's selected. :/
I think in our modern age technology has evolved to become more addictive. The things that don't give us pleasure aren't used as much. Work was never meant to be fun, but doing it makes us happier in the long run.

That's because someone dodged
the message is bugged and it says a person failed to select a champion regardless of the reason why the champ select was cancelled

Lee took ages to become popular. At release everyone thought he was super underpowered (though they were wrong) and the only person who played him was Chauster playing some mix of jungle, top, and roam Lee Sin.

It basically took the discovery of the double-E bug, followed by a fix to it + a massive over-buff for him to be widely played.

yo who were the most popular junglers in season 2 and early season 3?

If i recall correctly, tanky supporty junglers were popular at that point due to the low income. Maokai and Nautilus come to mind.

Shen, Lee, Skarner, Xin, Udyr (maybe, idr), J4, , Mummy, Mundo, Nunu might have been super OP around then as well

Pretty sure that if you took away all of Lee's scaling he'd still be a competitive pick, and it would at least stop idiots from building glass cannon on him. It's just the sheer amount of utility he has, same thing with Lulu, Nid, Elise and Jayce, if you give a champ an extra 2 or 3 abilities chances are that they are going to be pretty strong.

oh here's another question: is orianna overpowered or is she a really well designed champion? since she's been a top pick in the pro scene for a long time now.

Shockwave is overpowered (not the damage, the ability) but the champ is balanced because the rest of the kit isn't THAT good any more. She was completely bonkers before her range nerf now she's just a stable good pick that you can fall back to when the FOTM champs are banned/already picked or if you have a team comp that revolves around her ult.

To answer the question ( ) she's a well designed champ I think.

Orianna is fine, she's extremely difficult to play well and her damage is less than a lot of other mids

You could argue her shield is a little too strong in lane, but if that's your complaint then just go roam

at least the ball moves slow enough to have something you can do vs orianna, so playing against her doesnt feel like a stomp even if she is a strong pick. the other common mids like ziggs are just zzzz.

Guys, remember when Brand was considered OP at release until they reduced Conflagration's range from 675 to 625? Oh how things have changed.

(Oh I know he'd be a huge lany bully in the early levels if his range was bugged because 675 spell ~= 575 aa range so the little wind-up is more than made up for by most aa animations and the 25 range advantage over most champs, but 675 is such a short range for a spell now, even point'n'click, that after the first recall and Tear or Chalice for his opponent he'd be sad.)
Cant take LMS hipsters serious.

Orianna is difficult to play well so you always feel like you can improve, she's fun to play, has great utility, and let's you interact with your teammates. She's probably one of riot's most well designed champions to date imo.

Orianna is essentially Caitlyn of midlane

That being said I dislike running into god-level Chinese Challenger Orianna who can single handly dictate the entire goddamn game and nullify every bit of advantage I was eeking out as jungler..

well according to leaguepedia stats, he wasnt even in the top 3 for junglers at all for season 3 LCS. Idk about solo queue pick rate, those stats are impossible for me to find. But it seems like after they nerfed aegis a long ass time ago that's where lee sin suddenly became one of the top 3 champion picks.

In early S3 people thought lee sin sucked and besides release vi then nasus/volibear were so broken you never needed to pick anything else. Then insec ran a pain train at all-stars on lee and he kind of returned.

@PX have you ever considered that people who spend money arent being coaxed out of it and robbed of their livelihood and more likely they have money to spend and want to spend it on a game they enjoy playing? If people watch advertisements and want to buy things theres nothing evil about that, the whole point of having money is so that you can spend it so why does it matter what people spend it on as long as they arent addicts or something lol

yes there is incentive to spend money on the game, but if there wasnt then there wouldnt BE a game because they need money to make maintain and update the game not to mention the pro scene. Would you prefer if you had to pay to watch the superbowl and had to pay to play LoL?

Probably because that's not how PX would spend his money and therefore other people shouldn't either

I would say she's overpowered. She's safe, can farm well from a distance, has good poke, has utility in her shield, slow and speed up (which is really overlooked) and her ult is game changing too. She's one of those champions that is kind of underlooked at in terms of how OP a champion is because she's not like Nidalee who can't be caught and throws a million spears for 3/4's a squishy's HP or LB who can 100-0 a target instantly. She's not really flashy besides her ult, it's hard for people to understand why she's strong.

People don't pick "balanced" champs in LCS. They play the strongest ones who have the most potential to win the game. What I think when people say Orianna is the most balanced champion is that she is well designed.

as for new ancient golem:
20 armour is about as good as 150 hp, so the trade off is
quill coat regen/dmg vs 30% flat damage boost to monsters
25% hp vs tenacity (but realistically 25% hp vs 10% auto reduce since mercs is a cost effective way to get tenacity)
+a free 1/2 sightstone so thats worth a minimum of 200 gold. with yellow trinket past lvl 9 its basically free sightstone.

15% cdr is worth about 600 gold, 25 resists is worth about 500 gold, so even with just the 200 bonus hp the new ancient golem is already more cost effective than the old one.

The clear seems like it would be slower but at least you can spam more, maokai is still gonna be slow as shit probably so he's not gonna be good im guessing. Amumu can spam more in jungle so you can Q camps and you'll still probably clear fast.

I think orianna is quite clearly too strong but you can counterplay against her at least. Kayle has no real counterplay she does insane DPS but also counters burst and has a heal against poke.
