Alright, we're going to call it a day with all the Thorin drama, guys. I figured if it was about SI, onGamers, TSM, etc, it had some relevance to League but somehow you guys managed to devolve the discussion into an issue about race of all things.
Enough is enough. Let's move along now.

Well, according to the red posts, it does look like there will be minor gameplay changes. Specifically to address the blue-purple map imbalance. There also seems to be minor dragon/baron changes with the two getting new movesets.
RiotAeon wrote First, we added additional gameplay mechanics to Dragon and Baron Nashor to make fighting these monsters feel truly epic, while providing additional opportunities for predictability, optimization and emergent gameplay. The new version of Dragon has two unique area of effect attacks (a line attack much like Viktor’s E and a larger AOE explosion), and Baron has a host of abilities that aim to deliver much more of a boss-battle experience. Second, we are fixing a ton of navigation bugs and inconsistencies between sides. For example, the south and north bases, which do not have closely-mirrored gameplay spaces on current Summoner’s Rift, are now almost completely mirrored so that the play space between sides matches much more closely.
We are also making a slight change to the game camera angle. This change is aimed at making skill-shots more accurate as they approach the edges of the screen as well as slightly increasing the amount of camera space at the bottom of the screen. We’ll go into more detail about this in our next dev blog that focuses on gameplay.

It shouldn't be a problem for the BEST EUROPEAN TOP LANER

Is TP really that good? Ive never used it. Maybe i should get TP to carry my ass to gold.

Yeah, but people throw games hard enough at baron even without those changes so its not like its going to change much. The dragon I can see making a tiny dent in gameplay but not by much.

I guess i could make a new account and troll really, really hard, but even then i am pretty sure we will end up on smurf island rather quickly. dunno ive played like 30 smurf games and stomped most of them and i still get sub 30's who are terrible dont know how youre getting to it that fast

I really like ignite in solo queue, most teams cant grasp the concept of what tp does

I use tp for trick2g backdoor plays.

Good rule of thumb: if every high elo player does something, you should probably do it too.

Depends. If you're either really good or really bad at top lane, teleport is great.
If you're really good and know when to port you can use it to swing fights. If you're really bad and are going to lose lane anyway at least you can maybe exert pressure elsewhere and get back top.
In general though i agree. TP is hard to use in soloqueue because its hard to coordinate movements.

Actually a large bonus to early Doran's for AD's since they get the %lifesteal benefit for longer. Whereas previously stacking Doran's wasn't efficient because you never got that much effective lifesteal out of it now it can be. Once you pass 100 AD 3%>3 HP, so Doran's stacking becomes better. I said early dorans. And back when Dorans gave 100hp, 3% lifesteal, and 10 AD for 475, it was still not as strong early game as the 5 hp on hit one with the same stats. Why would you use 100AD as an example when the breakeven is 166 AD? You need a bit more than an IE or the new 80 damage BT (numbers have been out since at least this morning on the reign of gaming article) to reach this breakeven. I like the new VU and hopefully the tweet is correct that the game runs smoother. The breakeven is 100 for ranged and 166 for melee. Doran's Blades give 3 hp/hit for ranged champions and 5 hp/hit for melee. Hitting the breakeven point is easier for ranged champions and especially easier for ranged champions looking for decent combat/post combat sustain but don't want to build BT. This makes doran's stacking better on ranged AD's since it allows them to transition into better scaling items that they might have been limited in picking up due to the need for sustain and Doran's are still pretty cheap in terms of raw stats. A Vamp sceptor will be 10 AD+10% lifesteal for 800 gold. Two DB's will be 14 AD, 6% lifesteal, and 140 HP for 880. Pretty good if you're looking to transition into a non Vamp item I keep forgetting these kinds of details. LoL is hard to keep up with and my several month break didn't help.

For people who don't/hate play top, you guys should just pick something with obnoxious scaling (Ryze/Nasus etc.) with TP and play not to die. It helps for when you inevitably trade badly, just b and TP back in and laugh.

Idunno, even if SR is just a VU, Karthus was also just a VU but he feels so much better.

Probably cuz his Q is bugged and can be put out faster then before.

If he wants to discover and enjoy the game, he has to play with people around his skill level, which is not going to happen if you are in the game because of smurf detection. A way to make it easier is to be with him or over skype with him and give him tips while he plays. Not ideal, but there's no real way for him to form an opinion on the game if you're in the same lobby.

TP makes it so its really hard for you to lose the lane hard.
Dieing to ganks, losing trades, all of it becomes way less severe.
Often you TP back to lane and have it back up before you have to back. It's silly.

I can't believe Riot's actually going through with making ranked duos have to be similarly ranked. I'd always commented on how they'd rather have people be able to play with their friends than have fair games with equally skilled players in them.

if u want to play with friends play normal maybe they actually have the sense to see that shit like plat 1 silver 5 duo is just awful for all 8 other players

I wonder what the "bossfight" mechanics are supposed to make Baron/Dragon like. If they make them any more complex, that will be pretty hilarious. Its already a fairly big disadvantage to be fighting one before a fight starts.
