So Ohmwreaker from Pentakill got leaked so Riot just put it up publicly. Damn this is so good.

RiotPraeco also confirmed that Derek Sherinian contributed to this

What can I do as tf vs Akali?
Pre 6 Akali is not particularly hard to manage but post 6 it feels like I can't even get near her or the minions unless I bait for my jungler.
Am I doomed to just push and try to roam or is there some trick I can use to handle her? I would assume there is not but maybe some experienced tf player can help me?
Technically I can safely farm but I wanna know if there is anyway for me to actually turn the match up into my favor

Don't ever have pick a card on cooldown if she's able to jump you, and even then you should never engage on her without HUGE advantage or jungle presence. Generally you should try to get your Athene's and just push lane and look for ganks.

Shut her down pre 6. Then just trade farm post 6. Wait for her to roam. Then counter gank with ult. You can see the roam by warding deep at the akali's wraith area, and river on their blue side.

Also, I guess this is kinda obvious, but post-6 if your jungler comes and she throws down w just instantly pop your ultimate.

TF hardy wins any mid matchup....you pretty much always just farm safely and roam with ult, maybe if you get fed roaming you can come back and 1v1 their mid
In Hungry Hungry Hippos there are no such constraints—one can constantly attempt to collect marbles with one’s hippo, limited only by one’s hippo-levering capabilities.

You're not really supposed to win lane as TF against anything that has hard initiate/mobility + burst (Fizz, Zed, Akali, etc.). Just farm/push lane and roam or farm jungle. It's easy to gank Akali with a jungler as TF though because of short CD stuns and ulti. Keep in mind that your passive allows you to be down in cs and still be even.

According to my data, blue side wins 56% of the time on ONE_FOR_ALL (99%CI = [0.54, 0.58]). This is for 10 of the same champion played on the map.

I seriously think Riot's match making algorithm has some bugs.

I think it has to do with the angle of vision. Don't you have a wider field of view looking up the map from blue side? Would that not help?

is the effect that big though? When a champion wins 55% of the time, that champion is OP. You can get the same effect just by being on the blue side.

In any case, to verify what you said, I need to collect more data and plot the blue side win % per champion. It is possible that champions with more skillshots are more heavily affected by the blue side.

Considering that it's a wider vision angle with less HUD stuff in the way... yeah.

Yeah, when you press space, the game centers the camera on your champ but it doesn't consider the HUD when centering. You get a wider field of view above than below.

Well all of the data we have so far suggests being blue provides a 5-6% win rate jump... I don't expect win % per champion to be any different.

Remember that Riot has also admitted in the past that matchmaking is actually supposed to partially account for blue side imbalance. So unless this changed or is disabled in OFA, the effect is actually even more dramatic because Riot is already trying to correct for it.

It probably has to do with a number of things. Vision angle could be one of them, but it's definitely not the only one.

EDIT: One thing of note is that viewing angle as a source of imbalance does not only exist on Summoner's Rift. If you wanted to look at the effect of viewing angle in isolation, we coincidentally have a game mode that is played on an otherwise symmetrical map, but is subject to viewing angle-based imbalance (ARAM).

I know if you start a game and don't interfere most times blue takes an inhibitor first just from the natural wave movements.

Every single MMR checker estimates a roughly 30 mmr gap between teams. This is less than a 2 win gap and in no way is enough to make up for 5-6%.
