Well she is the only champ in the game that can cumshot so obviously no nerfs will hold her back.

that was also the nerf that made her unplayable in top lane.

She was still played top it was when they hit her mana cost and spiders

Why wouldn't they just go "Hey kayles aa now counts as melee even when e active, kkthx."? Stops stupid broken build and changes virtually nothing else. I doubt hydra kayle would become a thing

This actually used to be the case. IIRC they changed it because of it's interaction with Ghostblade.

V1.0.0.106:

Kayle now counts as a ranged attacker while using Righteous Fury.

Nobody bought Tiamat at the time because it was the old Tiamat that had the tiny AoE and everyone thought it was terrible. Rageblade+Ghostblade Kayle was enough of a thing for Riot to nerf that interaction.

Kayle also got remade like twice since then.

Well they could have done tiny steps but then they should have started that quite a while ago. The BS that is LB has gone on far too long to take it slow now to be honest, and Riot knows that too.

tiamat was 50 ad for 2070 gold with 15 hp/5 and 5 mp/5 tacked on. that's only slightly less cost efficient for damage than long swords 3 hp/second and 1 mana/second is useful for laning. this was the same time period everyone was getting philo stones because of how good the regen was in lane, otherwise they'd be grabbing the other gold gain items. it was quite good for laning. but it was dead ended and not slot efficient and the splash didn't accelerate farm enough to justify it in a game that was based around snowballing your gold lead as much as you can. especially since the end game items were all more cost efficient than almost every dead end item.

still doesnt change the fact no one bought it

2k gold for 50 ad + a tiny splash is retarded in the first place. had no active, didnt have the huge cleave it does now, and didnt have the upgrade into a semi decent item.
This is in the era of sunfire cape stacking when you did that on almost every hero anyway.

2k gold for 50 AD was just bad back then because that was when BF Swords still gave 50 AD and all BF items were costed according to this.

not really sure why they are nerfing base and scaling damage on the LeBlanc changes, pretty sure half base damage is enough.
