He doesn't exactly like LeBlanc (because of her silence and the way his Q works she can easily either bait his ult (you have to cast it early so it's on when she silences you and you mitigate some damage) or dodge a good part of his damage), Nidalee (post-6, she can't exactly shove him anyway since that requires cougar form) or Ziggs (at least he doesn't have 75 range advantage anymore, but you still won't ever get close to him if he's decent). Having to hit W to be able to trade with most other mages when it's only 800 range with 0.8s delay on activation is pretty damn brutal in terms of being outranged (basically any champion with a 900 range AoE spell can more or less ignore him). In teamfights you're susceptible to burst, to poke, and you can get brutally kited once your cooldowns are used (Q is broken easily, esp. with defensive dashes, W has a long cd if maxed last or it makes Q ignorable if maxed second). In the late game you're a ~600 range mage (less than most ranged carries' autoattacks) who has to devote some slots to defensive itemisation (like Banshee or SV over Abyssal) while getting boned by Banshee's himself because of his kit. The meta's been brutal for him for ages now, even if he's able to snowball pretty hard in the hands of a competent player and given an early lead (Torment hurts with the %damage amp). | ||
