I think this placement discussion needs to be made taboo There isnt a problem with the system at all, people are just salty about it (not trying to be rude, alot of them will freely admit they are ^^)
Also, riots matchmaking possibly the most advanced matchmaking on the planet. Matches you with retards, then matches you with people with brains.

congratulations scip!
when are you getting a team?

Can you really blame people for being salty?
The entire reset system is designed in a way which will screw over a significant proportion of people and to most the reason for the reset aren't clear. I feel like they are only doing it so people have to grind out a load of games.

The ones not wanting to grind have a FULL FUCKING YEAR to get where they want. You're just too hasty.
Meanwhile, I'm having fun yoloing in Plat.

Cant blame them for being salty i guess. But the maximum one can reach through placements is Plat 1 right? So it seems right for some people to be dropping ~1 division and working their way back up. Also a ladder reset (Even soft, like this) is to promote competition and give people second chances. It isnt about them forcing you to "grind games" there isnt a reason for them to do that and if you feel you're grinding games, why are you playing :o.
Exactly like above, the reset basically purges the system. People placed higher then they should be go away and those who need to be higher come up. Those at their rightful place, get back there asap.

Look on the bright side. They could have thrown everyone at 1200 and let the system sort itself out eventually :p

Been losing all my games now
Am 9-9 soloq. I wasn't even playing terribly except for one game. Just all these people in yoloq Gold that think they're Zion or Faker picking Yasuo and claiming they can win. I'm going to add that guy to my ban list because at my level if someone picks Yasuo on my team it's more likely to be a loss than a win.

Can't just go in with that mindset. Nor can you expect to win games by just playing not terribly. Play your absolute best and if you're better than the people you're facing then you'll go up.
Not feeding isn't reason alone to climb.

People in gold like to go ham a lot and just fight all the time, regardless of itemization or what have you. It's kind of a weird thing to watch a renekton just brawling 1v3 with incomplete items over and over again, wondering where his team is when it fails.

I know. It's just that it's way harder to learn when the people you play with are as bad as you. Picking up on your mistakes is easier when you're getting slammed into the ground by someone way better than you.

How likely does TL think it is that Yasuo will get nerfed? I know he sees bans and decent play at the pro level but literally every NA or EU LCS match I've seen with a Yasuo he did pretty average. I really like his playstyle but I'm not sure I wanna invest time getting good with him just to see him nerfed into the ground.

I just want Faker to get a Yasuo Pentakill on Saturday.
