I am glad that both the players have found good homes for season 4. Dexter doesn't seem to hold much ill will towards zorozero and mithy though, he seemed apprehensive talking about nukeduck though. He said he'd play with zorozero again if given the chance.

Just tried Pantheon jungle.
It's def legit.

I'm a bit surprised about him considering nukeduck to be a bit weak but that could make sense, nukeduck really shone after the laning phase most of the time. About mithy I never really understood the hype around this guy, he never looked that good to me, especially considering how often he got caught, in worlds and stuff.

First malz game where the enemy jangle didn't camp me 24/7 (plus enemy side lane roam). Huzzah.

if you were just guessing to begin with then you were being bad for no reason, look at this change as a learning experience.

I think a lot of really good smiters only smite by eye, and of course a lot, if not most junglers smite by watching the bar. I definitely don't think smiting by eye is mechanically inferior because there's a lot of instinct that goes into the timing, and being aware of spells, CDs, etc, helps as much as knowing the exact numbers.
Also when you smite steal, you have to do it by eye almost always.
|
i think smiting by eye is the definition of mechanically inferior. its something that you do, that works for you, but is objectively harder to do than the alternative.

In a 50/50 Dragon/Baron it has nothing to do with your smite, per se, anyways. The key is really to be like Lee Sin or Elise and stack your execute + smite, or else hope (in soloqueue) your team and the ping gods align for you.
Like, this is the thing the Krepo really emphasized at Worlds, and people promptly forgot.

im queued up with 3 bronze 4/5 and a bronze 1 on my team. im plat 1 on main. im laughing so hard I have a 30% winrate with cait on my main over like 30 games, but on my friends account I went from silver V to gold V without dropping a single game (all cait games, ended 19w-0l or something rediculous).
|
The bigger health bar actually helps me a lot when I have to smite steal. It was a lot harder to see the incremental damage on the hp bars of baron/dragon before.
|
My problem with smiting by number is that the numbers are so small and in the corner so they cause me to lose a ton of awareness... which is pretty bad when there's the danger of a 5v5. I haven't tried it since the font/UI changes tho, maybe that helps.
|
The problem with the numbers is also that they're harder/slower to process, and if you wait for the number to drop below the threshold to smite you're vulnerable to a damage spike or simply your reflexes being too slow. I try to use the numbers but when I'm getting pressured and need to predict I'll usually fall back on the bar to estimate at which speed it drops.

It's def legit. How does minion hopping help with his jungle? just makes buffs easier to clear?
|
But you don't actually have vision of the camps so it doesn't increase clearspeed, doesnt it?.
|
speeds up his clear speed a bit and allows him to take a bit less damage while he has blue buff to support spamming. his jungle was never terrible its just like a lot of junglers, if you dont get early kills you feel pretty useless

Too many games feel like a crapshoot because Yasuo is in every. single. one, and at least at my level I've never seen a more snowball-reliant, feast-or-famine champ.
