Inven: Congratulations on becoming the Season 3 World Champions. How do you feel?
Bengi: I feel really happy that we became the best team in the world in Season 3. I hope we can keep this momentum going into the future.
Piglet: I feel great. I want to come and win the next one as well.
Faker: I have never felt happier in my life than today. I still can’t believe that we won and I don’t think I will ever forget this day.
Impact: I feel honored that my name is on the Summoner’s Cup.
PoohMandu: I am happy and honored to become the Season 3 World Champion. I hope we have the chance to come back here next time.
Inven: You had to be in the United States since the group stages. Were there any difficulties you experienced?
Piglet: It was hard because the food was not tasty for me. I really want to go back to Korea so that I can eat kimchi stew.
Faker: I think we were able to put up good results because we practiced for 14 hours every day here in America. On the other hand, it was tough to practice for 14 hours.
Impact: The rice was weird and gave me a difficult time. The meatball was weird too. But In-N-Out hamburger was delicious (laughs).
PoohMandu: First, I had difficulty getting used to the time zone difference then the food here gave me a tough time. It was also tough trying to find practice partners after the semifinals were over.
Bengi: I struggled trying to buy stuff because I couldn’t speak English. It was a difficult experience.
Inven: You were the most successful out of any team in the shortest amount of time. Were there any difficulties?
Faker: If I had to pick, I think it was really tough for me when we and Samsung Galaxy Ozone both lost.
Inven: Faker, you gathered a lot of attention from foreign fans. Did you feel any pressure?
Faker: If the fans pay attention to me, I have no choice but to pay attention to them as well. I thought about the pressure and decided that it was a test for me to overcome. I think it motivated me to focus on the game and not become arrogant.
Inven: Faker was recognized and hyped through this tournament, but didn’t Piglet also contribute heavily to SKT T1’s victory?
Piglet: I thought I contributed as much as I can in securing the victory, but there are many players just as good as me in this tournament and our coach taught us not to become arrogant. As long as we follow our coach, I think we can continue to perform well.
Inven: Did you prepare to play Jax three times in a row?
Impact: We planned to play jax only in the first game, but after we won, I gained a lot of confidence. I kept on picking Jax after and was curious how our opponent would react.
Inven: What do you do to keep your teamwork strong?
Bengi: We fight with each other often so we are able to resolve things quickly as we have nothing to hide from each other.
Faker: I think we are really close with each other because the age difference is not that big.
Impact: It is important we do not distance each other and say freely what’s in our mind. It is a tough thing to point out and confront each other about our mistakes, but it becomes easier when you become close with each other.
Inven: What is the champion that you favored out of all the champions you played in the tournament?
Faker: I didn’t really favor any champions. I played Ahri a lot because I thought Ahri was really good, but I don’t like her too much now that I think she got worse. But I think Ahri is still the champion that I enjoy playing the most because of how her skills work.
Inven: What team was the most difficult to play against in the tournament?
Faker: Najin Sword was the toughest team for us to play against. They knew how we played because they were also a Korean team familiar with the Korean metagame. TSM was tough to play against too as I was not able to focus on the game because of all the noise and cheers.
Inven: What is the difference between the way Korean teams and foreign teams play?
Faker: First, junglers in Korean teams do not favor a gank-heavy style. Junglers in North American teams and most of the other foreign teams focus heavily on ganking. In the early stages of the tournament, they ganked a lot, but I think they changed their style to covering the lanes after.
Inven: Were there any teams that you wanted to face in the tournament, but disappointed that you could not?
Impact: I wanted to play against Gambit Gaming and Fnatic because both were European teams and extremely strong. I thought we would be able to learn a lot if we played them.
Inven: Faker, how did you feel on being called the "Michael Jordan" of League of Legends in the tournament?
Faker: I was surprised after reading the article. I feel extremely honored to be compared to a world-wide known superstar. I will try my best to live up to the comparison.
Inven: Why were you not able to do the ceremony with the Korean flag?
PoohMandu: Riot officials told us not to take it with us.
Inven: Any thoughts on the League of Legends scene in Korea?
Impact: I don’t want LoL Proleague to happen. I think the scene will become unified and lose its diversity. I think the current tournament system is good.
Faker: There are champions that continue to be used and champions that continue to be ignored. I hope Riot can fix this issue. For League of Legends competitive scene to improve, the issue must be fixed.
Inven: How long do you think you can focus on being a pro-gamer?
Impact: I don’t think age matters. I want to continue as long as my skill does not fall off.
Faker: Because the game is constantly being updated, players who cannot adapt are always replaced. I think it is hard for a player to have a long career when you consider this.
Inven: The prize money is substantial. What are your plans once you receive the money?
Faker: I wanted to eat 10,000 chickens, but I think I would be too full. I will only spend money on 100 chickens and save up the rest of the money.
Impact: After I buy Piglet a bag, I will buy some clothes and then save the remaining money.
Bengi: I think I will just leave it in my bank account.
Piglet: I will give it to my mother so she can pay off the family debts. After, I will buy clothes for myself and some clothes for my dog.
PoohMandu: I will also give it to my family to pay off debts and save the rest for the family to spend.
Inven: What champions do you want your Season 3 Champion Skins to be based on?
Bengi: Lee Sin. I just really like Lee Sin.
Piglet: I hope it is Vayne. Vayne always helped me improve my mechanics.
Faker: Ahri would be great.
Impact: I would like it to be Jax.
PoohMandu: Of course it is Zyra for me.
Inven: Faker, are you going to use the Champion Skin when it comes out?
Faker: I don’t think I will buy it. I will save that money or use it on eating chicken.
Inven: SKT T1 continues to win. How far do you think your momentum will carry you?
Piglet: It will continue as long as we put in the effort.
Faker: I think it will depend on how we perform in the next OGN Winter Season.
Inven: Many people helped you in achieving this success. Any final words?
Bengi: I am grateful to our coach Kim Jung-Kyun (kkOma) for working so hard and helping us to the point that he contracted a stye in his eye.
Piglet: I really thank my coach Kim Jung-Kyun for picking me to be part of this team. I thank my teammates for supporting me even though I made many mistakes.
Faker: I also thank my coach Kim Jung-Kyun for allowing me to become a pro-gamer when only thing I know how to do well is gaming. I am really grateful to my coaches. I also thank our fans in America for cheering for us and also Riot Games and especially Montecristo.
Impact: I want to thank our coach Kim Jung-Kyun for believing in me and picking me to be part of this team even though I performed horribly in the audition. He always complimented me saying that I play well and I was able to come this far because of him. I also want thank our coach Choi Byung-Hoon for always being nice to me.
PoohMandu: Our coaches always bought us food at night when we complained about the taste of the food. I really thank them for helping us for the pick/ban phase after every game. We could have not come this far without our coaches.
