IT'S SO SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT. My Zyra I mean, not the champ.
I'm baffled as to how badly I played. ._. I know I have to get used to her ranges again (I missed a bunch of Qs trying to punish last hits early game because I overestimated the range and she moved then cast) but my positioning and general lane presence was so bad. And contrary to Lulu she just dies once caught. My teamfighting was pretty awful too. Well, we failed as a team for the first dragon, since we walked in without Tristana and Sej initiating alone (I said my ult was on 18s cd but I could have spoken more clearly, plus I wasted it almost immediatly afterwards anyway).
I don't think my ults ever hit more than one people, except on one occasion. I failed to use the plants well so it didn't even increase their dps. I was a hook magnet and got cornered often because I didn't position well and my ward coverage suffered as a result, which only made things worse. Because I wasn't used to her ranges anymore I was getting caught for no reason coming in too late because I overestimated my reach. I'm playing too aggressive in a line-up that prob wanted to be engaged on anyway (bad idea against a Nidalee and a Caitlyn though, we had the better draft in the first game but that one favoured you I think, not that it'd have changed much considering how bad I played, fed killer through febu's hooks, and put Ulridge absurdly behind on farm from the constant 1v2).
I shouldn't have been that greedy at level 1 after Ulridge missclicked his trinket and I tried holding the bush against Thresh. I should have used my own trinket and kept harassing from safety.
Don't beat yourself up so much, we all coordinated pretty badly. I should've gone less ham with a champ I've only played once before. My positioning and movement was horrendous the entire game. For example when they started sieging our inhibitor turret I was just out of position (and even walked all the way up to potentially flank(...) them). I also have a tendency to keep farming when behind making me be out of position alot of the time, don't know what's up with that..

Febu just dominated that lane for the first few levels, and that gave me enough of a lead to pretty easily snowball the rest of the game.
It was pretty funny actually, I thought it was batonn on thresh again, and spent the first few minutes wondering what hyperbolic time chamber he'd been in between the previous game and the one before :p
Also you guys split incredibly awkwardly at level 2-3 or something. Me and thresh pushed forward and pressured, and trist went river while zyra went towards tower. You were too low to fight, but trist kept trying to get back into lane through river rather then just cutting your losses and going back round through blue, while zyra kept trying to "force" us back so trist could get past. But obviously we were way stronger with hp lead + us being grouped so it just ended up with zyra getting chunked and tristana flashing+dying.

Yeah, as I said more than his hooks, it's the way we positioned when taking into account that you'd win the manfight level 1. I'd have been supposed to get bush control then poke/harass to either create space for Tristana or prepare a level 2 all-in, depending on your health and positioning. Instead, I took around half my health of damage because I stubbornely stuck to the bush to keep vision. I ended up using my trinket, but we were already chased off the bush at that point, and against Caitlyn getting pinned against the tower really is no good, especially with the level disadvantage.
Another thing is that you hit many more Peacemakers too, during the first game there were several times when you fired at weird angles and totally missed me, including when I was pretty close an already low. That let me stay in lane much more combined with the way better start (more HP from sightstone first back) and the fact Lulu has the shield (plus I know my ranges with her). You hit me the second game, I died, it went better... for you. x)
About the split thing, we thought he was dead actually, so Ulridge just stopped moving, waiting for his death. None of you did auto, we were confused, and he tried to go for it (and died during his flash). Had he seized the opportunity earlier he'd have actually escaped but tbh we were both "wtf?" when 1.5s later he still was alive, sitting in front of you.

We thought he was dead too lol, I think my killing auto cancelled at the last second as he walked into the brush because we temporarily lost vision, and it spun and hit the minion behind me instead.
I was just generally playing terribly yesterday. Had that stuffy, flu feeling where your entire body/brain feels really sluggish

So do we want to try tuesday or thursday this week? Maybe then the servers won't let us down. Also I just played with a CrazyProg, I hope you haven't gone mad Prog.
|
Haha. (Wasn't me though^^)
I definitely cannot play on tuesday, but probably am available on thursday.
|
Still in my exams, will be more available from next week on
|
We can play on Wednesday as well if there are enough people and servers are miraculously up, but thursday is probably our safest bet.
Next Playday: Thursday, April 3rd, 8:30 PM CET The In-Game channel will be "ImGayForKakao"

Meh, I'm just spamming OP champs in URF
|
I don't see any appeal in URF.

It's fun to play randomly and use high skillcap, high mobility champions (zed, lee sin, shaco is pretty fun too, etc) but if you're playing to win then you just pick the boring op's.
I don't think playing it in an inhouse setting would bring much extra to it, other then knowing the person you'd randomly throwing spells at. But if everyone wants to, maybe we could have a game or two at some point~

Difference is that with randoms some will play strong champs and some will play their normal champs or something funneh, perhaps in the inhouse environment we could craft some interesting comps. How about we try to play URF tommorow and regular inhouses on thursday?

Seems perfect to me
