Seems like Riot is an hard learner. Remember the problems got into to get Russian visas for EU LCS or Gambit to go to Spain was it?

Because illegal immigration (which to be fair, is a perfectly legitimate concern in the context of it; the predominant source of illegal immigrants consist of travelers/students/etc. overstaying Visas). But I'm not letting myself go down that rabbit hole. I'll lambast the US immigration system for hours if I do <_<. tl;dr, yeah, US Visas are a bitch, mostly due to all the added precautions they take to prevent people from overstaying (interviews, income requirements, other bullshit, etc.). Which is why back during All-Stars when that Penny Arcade guy couldn't get his Chinese visa together, I was chuckling like mad. Getting a Chinese Visa is many times easier (and most difficulties can be attributed to reciprocity to US raising its standards).

But yeah, hosting it in Korea would definitely be a lot easier. US is a nightmare as far as security/visas goes, especially for countries with a high rate of illegally continuing to stay in the US.

But it says that such visas can take several months with premium processing available(no idea what that means). You can also meet the requirements without having qualified for worlds. The thing is, we didn't even know the Worlds date until a month and a half ago, so even if they applied then, scheduling would be pretty tight. And neither of these teams have qualified for Worlds anyway--the Chinese Worlds qualifier hasn't even been played yet. It's just that OMG's standing right now is more or less where C9 is for NA, i.e. something extraordinarily tragic (this, for example) has to happen for them to not be one of the two teams going to Worlds.

I can't see a particular reason why Worlds couldn't have been a couple weeks later than it is. The Chinese Regional Final is on the 7th and 8th. There's only a week between it and Worlds, which is absurd. Don't forget that finals is taking place at the staples center. Had to be a time slot with no NBA or NHL games, no concerts, no car shows, no beer fests, etc

I have never had a problem with US Visa, and I always get mine within 2-4 weeks. But then again, they look at your travel history thoroughly, especially if you have been to the US or China for that matter (they asked the most retarded questions regarding China once lol). But if you are applying for a US Visa for the first time and you don't have family in the US, it does generally take longer. This is coming from a Pakistani Muslim Male. I get interviewed each time I set foot on US soil.

I guess the logic behind this is you are expected to face more assassins/bruisers mid, and because of Auto-attack right? 2- Blue is where I am not sure... I'm seeing mainly Magic resist (Flat), CDR, Flat ability power, or magic pen runes. It probably depends on the match up. But for someone who doesn't main mid, what would be the best choice? I'm thinking Flat magic resist. Can Mpen be good? Or too cost-inefficient? On Orianna : Many pros prefer to use Hybrid. I guess this is to make use of her passive early on in the game. Since the hybrid as a big investment, are they are used for another champion? Is Orianna worth mastering (As in, should I play her alot, or are there other champions that can help me and that are easier?) 1 - Yeah, pretty much. Any champion with ranged autos can and should be using them to harass, which makes armor really nice on yellows (also, any time the jungler ganks you, and the what-if of having to lane vs. an AD assassin like Zed or Talon or something, or even a mixed (early game) damage champ like Nid or Kennen. 2 - Magic resist or some kind of AP are the most versatile here for an AP mid. AP is particularly good for champs that you need some amount of early game AP to go from "i can nearly clear the wave then autoattack a bunch of times" to "i can instantly clear the wave" MPen doesn't really do this, it's only good if you're specializing in someone with really good base damage numbers and poor scaling like Elise. 3 - You lose about 2 MPen to gain about 8 Armor Pen, which is really good if you get physical damage from like... ANYTHING. If you can't decide for sure, the best way to consider this is to look at your physical/magical damage done to champions at the end of the game (especially games that end really early) Hybrid pen runes will result in more damage if at least 20% of your damage is physical (and conversely, if at least ... 40% i think? of your damage is magical), which could even apply to champions like Annie, Ahri or Lissandra, who don't actually have auto attack buffs or physical skills, simply right clicks with smooth animations and good ranges.

That's a nice rule of thumb -- I wish there were more build decisions that could be simplified like this e.g. whether to take both 8%pen masteries on hybrid champs -- it's hard to quantify the damage gained from the stats per level or other masteries

Masteries and runes tend to have the biggest impact early, so scaling masteries are of questionable value. I'd rather go with something like one pen (whichever is better for you) Havoc (since it obviously helps both phys and magic damage) and Flat AD/Flat AP/Spellsword, a point or two of Flat ArPen instead of %AP, and executioner.

It was so apparently obvious that Riot was going to do a S3 World Championship, dunno why they released all the info so fucking late. Every other sport has this shit planned years in advanced. Having a 6 month prep-period for all the teams would have been nice.

Actually most sports only plan their big championships a year ahead of time. After the championships are done they set about planning the next year's one. Least that's how it is in American football, and being a US citizen, football is all I care about.

Had no idea he was Bulgarian, nor can I tell if he moved here before playing League. Can we keep the stupid US bashing over in TL General? I don't want to be pointlessly pedantic here to make a point. I've had 2 hours of sleep in the last 2 days, I'm both forgetful and irritable at the moment.
