Rammus isn't much of a duelist, especially if he's using his ult on towers. For "run away" style split pushing, TP/ghost Singed is probably your go-to champ (among champs who can fit on lots of teams).

Not very experienced with Rammus but isn't his wave clear bad as well?

Plus the lore is pretty interesting.
But yah. Gotta know what things in the game do. Kinda important. I said this before, but during champ select (and loading) you should really lol wiki the champions that are in the game. You can compare damage to see what trades are best, what the abilities do, etc.

Then what about champions that are great at 1v1 like lebanc (just off my head), got escape mechanics, clear waves quite fast but not good at killing towers? Is breaking tower fast also a requirement?
|
the problem with that is that leblanc's escape mechanic is her waveclear

His proxy wave-clear is actually extremely good via DBC, it's just rarely safe to do that against attentive opponents.

A stray minion or someone jumping in front of you will stop you and cancel your boost, leaving you a (relatively) easy target.
If you want to do something like that, lane Hecarim (or just jungle focusing on split pushing if your team can survive without you) does it better and chunks towers really hard if you opt for TF/IBG and spam Q.

I check them out as I encounter them.
I've played Rammus before as well... I have King Rammus from trying out beta long time ago. Didn't have to buy him.

The pages are being retired. Well, it was a nice run.

Edit: oh you meant for split pushing. Zed is still good really good, singed and shen are generally your go-to's though because they have easy escape and/or can get into a team fight fairly easily. And killing towers isn't really a requirement, as long as you aren't missing cs and keeping the wave really big behind you you're good.

Also, apparently troll pole / troll pool will let you avoid the delayed damage from time bombs and sharks, but not hemoplagues or death marks. Inconsistency FTW! EDIT: Actually not that inconsistent. Untargetable(-but-not-invulnerable) lets you avoid delayed damage that has a visible countdown, but not those that don't. For some reason. EDIT2: Or it's probably a case of delayed-damage-that-also-has-initial-damage vs the ones that don't.

I'm going to say it again, LoL seriously needs a sandbox test mode and a combat log.
|
It needs replays too. Replays are in Brood War, for crying out loud.

Correct, you can find examples of it on a couple of the champion pages.

Basically, instead of having an entire, separate "Ability Details" page, you can just see the details on the main page. It's waaaaay more convenient and snazzy.

I find sandbox mode/combat log less excusable to be honest, because there's not really an excuse for Riot to not already have those things for their own internal testing.
