As for well designed melee, I think Renekton is pretty one-dimensional. Aquire rage, do in>stun>damage>out combo. I'd cast my vote for Riven. Four dashes, a stun, a knockback, a ranged aoe execute and all on very low cooldowns allows for some pretty interesting plays. Lee Sin can make sick plays, but I think his kit is basically impossible to balance properly. | ||

On the topic of assassins that dont feel stupid frustrating, I actually really think zed is good (and good design) even though I only tangentially play him. He's energy, but the energy actually does feel like a restriction, and his assassination is such that if you can combo-breaker him, you are rewarded with your (or your teammate's) life. | ||

Liss top is much like Ryze in that she abuses most melee tops. People like Singed can never land a hit on you. Anyone that can jump on you can rarely finish their combo. Just W-> Q-> walk away when they get close. Her E is also great in the long lane, giving her a pretty good escape. The only downsides are that she has no sustain and not as much roam potential as she does in mid. When I play top Liss, I go for RoA first. The extra health and mana is good for the protracted engagements. Otherwise it's pretty standard from there for me. On Zed, I think he is probably the most frustrating Assassin of all. He still has too much wave clear and I don't think energy is enough of a restriction. But that is just me. | ||
