If they go ahead with the proposed changes i will demand a fucking full refund and the debonair skin, they cant just do that kind of work, it disrespects people, especially since the changes are aimed at pro teams not at the general population :s it isnt disrespectful to balance the game It is if they balance to the top .01% of the population ignoring the rest, the same happened to olaf and look where he is now, none plays him anymore. Everyone has had champions they have bought get nerfed at some point. This isn't the end of Jayce, even if he falls hard in power to where he is horrible riot will again try to balance him again to viability. Riot doesn't want to "kill" champions (at least not forever) so be patient, and play other champs if he ends up sucking hard ![]() Your contention is not necessarily true. Jayce Could be irrelevant, Poppy style, for quite some time. It just depends on Riot's ability to make the champ balanced. If you are an optimist you would say "well, Jayce is fundamentally ranged, and Riot seems to be able to balanced most of the ranged champs in LoL. Look at Kennen, Orianna, and Kog Maw. 3 totally differnt ranged champs, all balanced. If you are cynical, you say "look at Riots record with champs without an Ult" Nidalee was OP, then unseen, same with Udyr, Elise has never not been OP, and Karma is a mess. The reality is, much like Olaf post nerfs, there is no reason to be optimistic about Jayce's future. On the other hand, Debonair Jayce is lame, so I hope you get it refunded.

Riot doesn't want to "kill" champions (at least not forever) so be patient, and play other champs if he ends up sucking hard ![]() Personally the real problem I see with this Jayce change is that it's representative of two issues that have perennially been problem's for Riot's balance team that they've never fixed. 1) Riot has already just nerfed the Champion. No matter how minor the change may appear on paper, they cannot have possibly analyzed the effects of this change fully yet. 2) The balance of the champion is tied to certain other factors that may be out of line and Riot has failed to recognize this (in this case, how strong Tear and related items currently are). I'm not going to venture to guess whether Jayce needs a nerf this hard, but I will say that Riot could not possibly know at this point whether Jayce needs a nerf this hard yet, when taking into account the fact that they haven't fully seen this current nerf through, and the fact that Tear/Muramana will *probably* need a nerf somewhere down the line anyway.

goodbye jayce may Riot's 100th champion RIP in peace until he gets buffed to Op status again and am I the only one that prefers the old item icons? Might be because they haven't finished it yet, but the new ones look so blurry

See my post earlier on this page. It's far too soon to push out such a drastic nerf so quickly when they already nerfed the champ (as well as the item that is the lynchpin of his current power) just this patch. I won't expect the dust to settle properly on the existing Jayce changes for at least another month or two. There's no sense in even attempting to consider his "balance" issues if there are any before that time. In general Riot has always severely underestimated the time-frame that it takes to properly evaluate the changes in a new patch, which has resulted in them over-buffing or over-nerfing champs due to buffs/nerfs in successive patches that culminate into an overpowered/underpowered version of the champ 2-3 months down the line when everyone has actually properly evaluated all those changes. I guess this really is just my old quip with Riot patching the game too frequently--but quite honestly the time frame for people to actually assess versions of the game is actually quite slow. The typical time it takes for a new "OP" champ to be discovered, learned, and come into the foreground is typically around 2 months except in the most blatantly OP cases. Considering that from the point the champ becomes a 1st priority ban/pick it will take a similar time for players to learn correct counter-play to the champion, I think patching in cycles any shorter than 4 months (on average, obviously things that become blatantly out-of-hand require quicker response) is simply counter-productive because the community doesn't resolve the current patch changes fast enough for successive changes to be meaningful--your ability to resolve the effects of balance changes are limited by the rate at which people adapt those changes into their gameplay, so if you're changing the game faster than that, you're essentially just waving your hands around in the dark.

Probably because of the 1 extra level thing. If they scaled normally I don't really see problems. Jayce was an asshole anyway. Lose every lane vs him and even when I'm winning hard and like 3 levels ahead he can still freefarm

You guys all said the same stuff about the Jayce nerfs in the last patch, and now he's still strong and they're still nerfing him. It's pretty blatant that TL GD's predictions about nerfs are consistently wrong at this point, so why continue? Why not actually talk about the game instead of continuing to whine like children? Where's Scip, I want to talk to him some more about our buff transfer strategy now that we've been testing it for a month and refined it a little. SCIP WHERE U AT

buff transfer still seems dumb, reporting udyr and xin having "no problems" without blue is liek wat wat wat totally viable if stealing a buff ofc you'll have trouble finding a real jungler who even thinks its good to transfer off 2nd blue a lot of the time, let alone first
