Pref to avoid spoilers pls Black/white is pretty fun. I guess black/white 2 came out but I never got those since they seemed to similar to black/white I'd generally get the newest pokemon available (you said you have SS so I assume you own a DS already), since they make small improvements to the engine each generation, and they're pretty minor things but you will notice if you play a really new game vs. a really old game. Like how starting in B/W they made TMs reusable (like HMs) and now I can't stand TMs from older games anymore. In general Pokemon doesn't get worse* (since they basically reuse the same formula every time) and anyone that says that it does is just living false nostalgia.
* except for the massive surfing section in R/S/E, like man, what the hell Eh. A lot of the added "complexity" of the newer games doesn't enhance the experience at all. On the battle side I find entrance hazards a bit tedious. Its a bit like L-Cancelling in Melle (Caution, unpopular opinion incoming). Yes I can do it, yes it helps separate scrubs from elite players, but no it doesn't really add new things to the game like wavedashing does (IMO it should just be automatic). And it pisses you off for the first hour you play Melle after a long break (then you have to stop playing anyways because it fatigues your hands at like twice the rate you otherwise would have). Some of the other out of combat stuff is also annoying. Like needing to get tons of happiness on Eevee just to get some of the evolutions. Is there anything less fun than happiness farming? You can happiness farm by having them in combat though? Or just buy Vitamins and boost stats at the same time. I like a lot of the outside stuff. I liked the underground digging thing in 4, I like hatching eggs (unless you're doing really grindy shit like shiny farming, it's fun having an egg and eventually while adventuring it hatches), berry farming kind of sucked, but whatever. Contests are balls to me, but I know that a lot of people liked them, and I spent so much time in Game Corners over the last decade or so. Vitiamin spamming is super lame as well, and if you are evolving an Eevee, the learnset can be screwed up if you level it too much pre-evolution. In any case, I usually just disfavor things that are grindy/mandatory. Like buying runes in LOL. Well any RPG is going to be grindy at some point or another. Except TWEWY, since you could just adjust your level to fuck with the game. Also holy shit there's a 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors sequel for 3DS? Fuck. Yes.
Understood, I just prefer a grind that is more, for lack of a better word, "natural". I.E. leveling up in WoW's TBC was really fluid, whereas, originally, the jump from normal > heroic dungeons was ridiculous.

Ughhhhhhhh. Watching Dyrus playing Kennen makes me want to slam my face into my desk. He blows his W cooldown so early, right after he gets a mark >.<
Does he note know you hold onto the cooldown to keep the reset on the mark of storm? irks me to no end.

They're starting to move away from this though, with gen 5's scaling EXP based on the level difference (you gain more EXP the lower level your pokemon is compared to the opponent) and the Power items that let you gain EVs ~five times faster than normal

pokemon is only grindy if you want it to be, just running through games for gym/league completion doesn't take long at all and is still very fun. plus if you like battling, then online simulators are grind free and a much better competitive environment than cartridges anyways

When best order of operation is always to get stack with auto attacks; then try and hit Q, if that doesn't work. wait a few seconds. Blow W; then your 4 stack should be up again, for easy stun; or force them off.
You should never blow W right after getting mark of storm after auto attack. Enemies then only have to worry about your Q; not the rest of your kit. If you keep your W off cooldown, there's always a risk up; and gives you bigger window of stunning/forcing them off creeps.

you dont have to, quicker harass and you can refresh with the next w ideally
if he wants harass more than he wants just to hit a stun it makes sense, if he doesnt use W early then when the marks about 1/2 gone the guy just backs out of range and it resets completely

Nomura said he'd work on it if KH:3D and the TWEWY characters in particular got good enough reception, so I just kind of want to see what the next step in the story would be, considering how it ended. Also, more games need gameplay of that caliber, it's one of the most innovative and fun games I've ever played.

Yeah, ever since they lowered the range on W-activation, and even moreso with lower mark duration, if you don't jam it immediately, it's very likely that the opponent isn't going to let you have a chance to hit it at all.
