I started off in Silver and I've worked my way up to gold1 now. Initially I was getting 15-25pts per game, and now I'm getting like 3-7pts per game (Gold1, 55pt). Is this because I've hit my 'true' rating? HALP

I skipped both gold 4 and gold 2, but then got clamping at 99lp in gold 1 (got ~24 ish LP per win before clamping in gold 1), stuck on 99 for 6 games with +0 LP for a win. Then went on a lossstreak, dropped to gold 2, got back in gold 1 after a while and now im getting about 7 LP for a win all of a sudden. I dont get much of it either, game lets me skip 2 complete gold tiers, then clamps me anyway :/

HALP If the game thinks you aren't ready for hitting plat, and you're on a winning streak, the game will award fewer and fewer points because it's not certain where you belong. The solution is to win a lot, lose one, and continue. To elaborate on how I think that works. You have a uncertainty rating that's at 100, increasing by 20 per game you win because you've won so many in a row. If you lose, it drops the uncertainty by 50. You have a MMR changing at 15 per game. At some point, uncertainty is increasing faster than MMR, and thus the system is still not sure if you belong in a higher league, despite your median rating being a fair bit into the next league. This causes it to clamp your rank points to prevent promotion. Nice to see you're playing LoL. I still remember watching Husky's casts of you in my SC2 days.

They already stated they dont know where the problems come from but they are now actively monitoring to get more data on how and when it breaks. No maintenance is going to prevent problems you cant see coming , specially since they dont even know whats wrong yet. It breaks at random, it happens, its technology with esports, it happens. And even if all you say is true, theres still no need to rage like u called mid 5th pick and didnt get it in bronze 5.

I played him as a jungler, with W max his clear is pretty good after the first one, and his ganks are actually just devastating. If you come to a lane with a W proc ready, you can easily get two W procs off in one gank. I built him tanky, felt like I did a fair amount of damage just autoattacking people. His W onhit does like 200 damage plus 0.7 bonus AD, its noticable. You come out of the jungle, and just like burst the hell out of people with EQ-Wproc. Thing that stuck out to me most is just how high his base attack speed is. I feel like it one of the best in the game. With madreds he clears jungle really easily.

Every one of these problems has a single simple design choice at its core. Back when production on LoL was started it was a small company making a fun game. They didn't have a lot of resources, they didn't have a lot of money. So they made LoL without accounting for a lot of things. A program made to be played by a thousand or 10 million has to be coded a little different. No one expected LoL to go as big as it did. So now there backbone is very ill suited to handle the insane amount of data moving around. And as a company in business they cant just stop expanding on there game and re-writing there entire code backbone to be more robust. Yes if all those years ago they knew they would be servicing tens of millions of players this could have been avoided. No one expected it and now they need to make the best of what they got.

i think it'd be pretty possible to just rewrite lol while leaving the servers up, put the new version out in beta kind of like PBE w/ basically all the champs as freeweek and go through a few months of testing (okay its riot, so maybe like a week) while giving everyone ample time to download it. after testing, they can move all the accounts that have been accessed in the past year and move them to the new server. people could also just stick with the account they had there, but old transferred accounts would get a sexy as shit zilean skin or something.

I honestly think that rewriting the code backbone wouldn't be that disastrous. They have enough money to hire more people specifically for this job, and I also think that if they don't, the community would be more than willing to fund some kickstarter project to get enough money for it. Now I don't know for how long the servers would be offline when they launch the new backbone, but if it would be less than a week I'd be happy to pay that price if we get stable servers back for it.
