Mega is pretty bitter and I don't blame him.

And as for Nien over Mega, I think it has to do with Chauster/Link's mindset of having people good at all roles so they have better game knowledge (generally). Maybe he'll be able to lane/champ swap with Link if the situation calls for it. I just hope CLG doesn't break his spirit with their inner workings.

I must say that it keeps stuff interesting and new. Kind of hard for them to make merchandise with their team on it when they change every two months, but I actually like their new team.

Secondly, I actually heard something very similar to this almost a week ago and ignored it because thats how dumb jiji in the jungle sounds.

It was fine it just wasn't the best, and his ad is in my mind, the best. The LANs where I saw Nien play mid his lane was like the only one to win lol. Meanwhile every other lane on that team would just die. Granted that was at least a year ago but the kid's legit good. I don't think Nien top can possibly be worse than Hotshot and I think if he finds his grove he'll be stronger than MegaZero or Nickwu would've been. I'm most concerned about jiji in the jungle as that change makes the least sense to me.

It got so much better in Gen II too. On May 27 2013 09:51 obesechicken13 wrote: I could not manage to beat more than like 3 of 5 trainers in the single battles challenge. Battle subway is tough too. I can't get a 14 win streak going or more than a 21 win streak. I'm looking up all the pokemon my enemy trainer uses so I know their pokemon's typing and weaknesses but I'm not looking up the exact items they're carrying or their movesets yet. Welcome to competitive battling hehe. I do hate the item clause that the game uses though. I barely even know like 6 unique items urgh. On May 27 2013 09:51 obesechicken13 wrote: I plan on using hacks to get some stronger pokemon if I ever do intend to win the pokemon challenge and be acknowledged as a pro. Ev training takes too long. You could always try using PokeSav for Gen IV and V games to basically make pokemon with the exact stats and moves you need perhaps. I really recommend reading up on a lot of the competitive battling stuff. Smogon has so much good stuff on there. Net-teaming (sort of like net decking in MTG) might be a good place to start just so you have a base line to start from and work from there. The Smogon forums have teams, ratings, and stuff. Also playing on ShoddyBattle (I think the name is changed now though) online is also great practise. Good luck!

You're definitely right. Gen 2 Crystal version added so much end game material! And it removed the crit scaling that speed gave and the "single" special stat thing that made special attackers ridiculous as well as several QoL improvements like Tackle missing even though it had 100% accuracy. It was also the only Gen where you could battle 16 gyms.

It was also the only Gen where you could battle 16 gyms. Second Gen will always have a special place in my heart. I don't think any game has added so much material and so dramatically changed the way the game was played (although the Gen IV changes to Physical/Special attacks comes very close, as well the emphasis on the semi-carry that could rapidly sweep or just smash walls). The game itself was a bit harsh though because story mode had a serious level issue (even the remakes still had a bit of problem in this regards). ShoddyBattle is now Pokelab it seems from a quick Google. But Pokemon Showdown is a good interface too (although I haven't done any online battling stuff since Gen IV) so I don't have any opinions on either. The entire NA scene has a problem with recycling talent. You look at the Korean teams. In fact, look at the entire KR All-Star team. Nearly every one of them basically came out of no where to take over the scene. Like, did any know Shy before he took over Reapered? Where does genius like Madlife come from before MiG/now-CJ come from? Blows my mind constantly.

Old CLG with HSGG and Chau jungle looked stronger than this shit. Oh god on paper they look so weak right now.

"a lot of people are curious why CLG would choose me over Mega, and i was confused about that too. If i were in their position i would have definitely picked up either Mega or Nickwu, because honestly as of right now i'm pretty shit-tier at top lane. However, i'm very glad they had faith in me and i am going to do my goddamned best to make sure they do not regret their decision, and i promise to all of you that I will become one of the best, if not the best top laners in the world"

1. HotshotGG to the bench. Very smart, Hotshot knows a huge amount about LoL and he'll be a great coach. Hotshot's strengths and weaknesses forced CLG into a specific style so to get rid of that is great just for the sheer variety of teamcomps that have opened up to them. 2. Chauster moves to support. Nice move, Chauster was an elite support until he moved to the jungle, can't see why he can't pick it up again. However what doesn't make sense is CLG's support role over the past 8 months where you have had Locodoco, then held an open tryout, picked Aphromoo, and then dumped him for the guy who was originally the support just when Aphro was getting good/settled. Truly bizarre series of moves in hindsight because they lose those months of partnership between Chauster and DLift. 3. Jiji to the jungle. I....Can't see this working out. When I truly started following the LoL scene, jiji was the legend in slow decline so I don't have the fond memories of him dominating that others do. His strengths were his outstanding teamfighting which I guess translates somewhat to the jungle role but this was the guy who had to be almost berated to get him to roam from midlane and now he's you're jungle presence? Plus his personality doesn't seem to fit the jungle role in my opinion, I can't see him using an authoratiative voice when he's arguably one of the softest spoken players pro-LoL and you need your jungler to speak up sometimes. It could work out, I don't think this is the solution to CLGs jungle woes. 4. Nientonsoh to top. I really don't get this. Megazero proved himself to be an effective threat in the 2nd half of the LCS and is exactly the kind of player that CLG needs, the one that can take pressure off of bot lane. Yet they go with the talented Nientonsoh who plays pretty much everything BUT toplane. Dignitas was able to go out and get Kiwikid and we can all agree that dude is pretty good with room to improve, but putting Nien up against Dyrus, or Voyboy who have years of toplane experience seems utterly insane. Nien from Reddit "a lot of people are curious why CLG would choose me over Mega, and i was confused about that too. If i were in their position i would have definitely picked up either Mega or Nickwu, because honestly as of right now i'm pretty shit-tier at top lane. Well congrats on acquiring a shit tier top laner CLG. 5. Aphromoo leaves. A byproduct of their other moves obviously but this move may hurt CLG in the longterm. Not only is Aphromoo one of the premier personalities in League of Legends but he is a damn good AD carry and a solid support. So you lose one of your most marketable players and you are directly strengthening another team! I'd be stunned if Curse wasn't immediately in contact with Aphromoo to either replace Cop (sorry I <3 you Cop but it is probably an upgrade) or to fill their support position. Either way Curse gets stronger. I also wouldn't count out C9 signing him given that Sneakycastro is pretty meh, plus there is potentially a TSM tie-in with C9 being a TSM affiliate (possibly) I applaud CLG for making changes to a team that was underperforming but I wonder if these were too many changes and not the right type of change that is necessary.

Plus when they recycle someone they make them play an entirely new role which considering they need to win right away does not make any sense.
