Then I'm going to cry myself to sleep with memories of my poor paladin against frost mages.

If you choose to do wolves -> smiteless blue -> red -> gank, then I will just hand you the FB for your efforts. Most people around my level don't try that hard. Also not every jungler can do it.

I see it 80% of the time hwen im top lane, which is why I super-value the openings that let me have a ward.

Also, am I the only one who chooses a jungler based on blue/purple side? I really like Hecarim on purple, Lee and Naut on Blue. Hec can clippety clop after doing my standard path to top, while Lee and Naut can clear then camp in the bot lane bush. Honestly, I don't really care if someone steals my red that much (as long as its not a straight up invade). It means I know they're probably a pot down on me, and I know where they were at within a certain time frame.

They don't necessarily gank afterwards though :/ Well ok, sometimes they don't gank afterwards for some reason. It's still a very safe route that makes it really unlikely that anyone is going to steal a buff from you except off of a level 1 invade

Don't you lose red a lot and/or have your team rage at you while they throw away firstblood?

If a team rages at me for not ganking soon enough even though I'm on my first clear I just mute them lol. Really it depends on the jungler. On Jarven and Xin getting smiteless straight into Red is nice for early pressure, but if you're playing Hec or Naut who need levels ASAP there's nothing wrong with that path.
