You were never going to get two shield in a fight. 25 sec is really short, I buy it all the time now and its up like all the time when you are sieging or roaming, def more than it used to be. No see, you're missing the trick to the old BVeil. On old BVeil, when the CD is DOWN, there is no way for you to lose the shield. This means that in a situation with a coordinated team, you can try and make fights happen when the CD is *almost* up. E.g. you have 5-10 seconds on the BVeil CD, and your Malphite ults in. Then, when you get dived/an AP tries to unload on you, your BVeil comes up the moment when they need to cast an important spell on you--which suddenly creates the awkward scenario where they have to break a BVeil when they're already committed. When you get dived, the BVeil CD JUST comes up. An observer might chalk this up to luck that "BVeil happened to come up in time", but in a scenario where your team can control when fights start, you can get much more value out of the BVeil passive in making sure it doesn't get poked down. It's not luck, it's keeping track of the BVeil CD. You can't do this anymore. The BVeil CD resets when you take champ damage, meaning that you can no longer control BVeil's CD for it to come up at the right time like this. | ||

Yeah I thought the same. Top lane, support, and mid are all pretty locked down. Woong could potentially be replaced but since he is the team captain I don't see it happening. Insec replacing Helios is the only one I can really imagine being possible. | ||

Yes, I think we all know this, they removed it specifically because its pretty bullshit as its basically impossible for the other team to keep track of. I think its still a incredibly good item. IMO it realllllly shines on assassins, you surprise jump on someone with your bveil up and go to town on them and they are basically totally fucked. It increases dueling power hugely and makes a high mobility champ like twice as hard to catch/burst. The only issue I have with it is that its big chunk of mana makes me not want it on a ton of champs. I fucking love it on kassadin/fizz etc. You jump someone and they have to decide in .2 seconds what they are going to waste on Bveil, and then you just silence them/ trollpole the rest. | ||

How is it impossible for the other team to keep track of? You have the same counter on it that the owner does--you know when the shell breaks, and you count off 45 seconds. | ||

interesting how so many of the top 10 most played champs have a <50% win ratio. taric, mf, xin and lux (sort of) are the only positive ones. | ||
