Babyzeus. Never heard of him. Challenger Tier has some extra stats on each person's line. Show his record for last 10games and shows his total number of wins and losses. Oh hay BabyZeus. Had the pleasure of getting carried by him in 5s. Nice guy, plays a pretty good Akali.

The issue with Fraps is lack of control. With a replay you can pause, slow down the action, look at things you might have missed etc. Fraps you're stuck with whatever you happened to be looking at, which severely limits you.
Fraps also fills up your disk fast. If you don't have empty terabyte sized drives sitting around you can't keep recordings for long, or you might not even be able to record an evening's play.

Bummer about LolReplay. Sadly it's existence is probably one of the reasons Riot hasn't implemented their own replay feature yet.

i think babyzeus lost like 2 series before finallly getting out of plat, shouldved screenshotted the times when he said he was never getting into diamond.

Your attitude at 1600.
Hi. I'm 5HITCOMBO and I'm ranked 1840~ atm. I'm in the top 500 players in this game in solo queue and I play with a lot of players who are much better than me and think I'm a scrub, which I pretty much am. I'm not better than you at playing this game--well, maybe SLIGHTLY. But the big reason that I'm 1800+ and you're stuck in 1400 isn't because I'm a better player than you. I routinely, ****ing ROUTINELY get called bad/scrub/feeder/**** by my teammates, and it's basically true. I'm terrible at this game. (I'm known to every good player as ****combo. Working as intended, I guess.)
Your attitude when you were in the top 500. Not trying to flame you or something, on the contrary I have a ton of respect for you.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it exists, but just the people that want an official replay client will likely have to wait longer since I doubt Riot sees it as a major priority.

EUW back up but the chat is visibly still fucked up.

What the fuck
It is 2:48 AM here and I got a 10k people log in queue
what the fuck is this riot

Its also cool to mention that Babyzeus skipped 2 divisions in Diamond somehow, I'm still wondering how O_O
|
One of my friends skipped from gold 4 to gold 2. I assume it was just because their elo was that much higher than the divisions they skipped when they won their bo3 series.
|
If your hidden mmr is higher than the division mmr, you skip divisions.

Really don't get these points. One game I won I got 4 points, next game I got 33 points. Wot?

A Nunu top on TOO stream ! It has to be one of us :o

Ended up building bulwark on Thresh since noone on the team had started one and they had a fed Elise+Diana stacking MPen. Mercs on top of it because 0 MR/level hurts. After ~125 souls, locket, bulwark and sightstone, sitting on ~180 armour, 140 MR and around 3k HP felt so stupidly tanky in fight. I expect it from Leona, or Taric... but from Thresh, and with something like 130-340 magic damage from Q's passive, the teamfights were pretty absurd. o_o I thought he had mostly the issue of the damage on his Q passive, but his cooldowns on Q and E with some CDR, along with an AoE shield to compliment his armour, the burst from Q passive + ult... he has so much of everything. ôo

wow never actually checked who was on that curse academy team before. stacked besides rhux

Okay, let's assume that my self-evaluation is correct. Since January of 2011, I've been playing nonstop with platinum and now diamond players. I've gotten personal insights from real-life friends who are on actual teams. I've played about an additional 3000 games since then.
Assuming I know what I'm talking about, I got better at the game.
The reason that I'm in 1600 is because I can't grind like I could when I was unemployed and living on my savings from Korea. Now I'm in a doctorate program and I have a real life. I think I have what, 100 ranked games this season? For a while I hit a downswing because I wasn't muting my team and I was consistently raging at how bad they were into a loss. Now I just mute them and treat them like bots and I've recovered a quite a bit of Elo. I play maybe 1-2 ranked games a week and I'm still rising--though now, I'm not sure how this new system works at all as I've only played two games in it.
I don't have the time to dedicate to this game that I used to, but I'm better at it than I was over 2 years ago. That's why my attitude changed.

And yeah, with all-chat, it's often a source of hilarity, between serious guys saying dumb but funny shit and non serious guys riling up the other guys and it's comedy gold.
I oftne dont read when I see people are flaming and there's nothing constructive in there I won't pay any attention but often people calm down and a bit of communication is important sometimes. I really doubt anyone ignores just because of ego lol.Even if players are doing well and they just write 24/7 all caps garbage I'll ignore them.Happens very often a xin or something gets snowballed then he starts flaming and goes negative after being 5/0.Most of them claim they are smurfs of 2800 elo too ^^. My experience is that anytime I get annoyed by someone flaming at me it's because I'm thinking I'm better than these players and when they flame me it's a challenge to that assertation. (not a word i think but w/e lols) Generally this mindset is really toxic for trying to improve. The best thing you can do is to assume that every flame ever directed against you is 100% correct and that you're terrible and made tons of mistakes because if you look deep enough it's true. The more you look for your own mistakes the less you notice your teammates ones since you aren't looking for someone to blame. Often you can diffuse situations later in the game when people get too stuck in the past. I've been in both sides of the whole "team doing badly - couple guys try to stay positive and focus people when flaming starts - end up winning" I've also been in games when I didnt say anything all game and my bot is losing and the jungler gets mad or something and they surrender when we're behind and I'm still top lane like 4-1 and i'm like wtf? shoulda said something and tried to group up and do something with them
I think generally commuication is better. If you do badly and get flamed you can at least say sorry I played bad got ganked at bad times and lane snowballed, and people at least know you're trying.
Also "people flame people playing perfectly as a defense mechanism". Nobody has ever played perfectly so it's hard to say that. Often this is a case of a jungler not making mistakes and making positive plays but not being at this guys lane at the right time which is not easy to do but often you could have been there at the right time and reversed a gank completely. I'm pretty sure you know what I mean in the same way that I know what you mean when I quote you saying "playing perfectly". I dunno, I've played with the best players in this game and now I'm playing in fucking 1600. I can't handle the differential in how bad people are compared to how good they think they are so I just mute them. I don't care that I can possibly learn something from them because I'm really not going to learn something playing with 1600s that I didn't learn queueing with/into guys who are currently on professional teams. Honestly, if I listen to the people at this Elo, I get WORSE. I'm not trying to be an elitist jerk here, but seriously, what the fuck am I going to learn from these 1600s when most of my premades are plat/diamond? What's a good player like you doing in 1600 though? When I'm at pretty low elo it's because I took a break or something and come back thinking im better than all these scrubs. Then I don't win that much and I start looking at how bad my bot lanes are or whatever. I usually catch on the right road pretty fast because I'm pretty introspective and I play this game too much lol. You don't learn something from 1600's, but when you're getting flamed by anyone, it means you probably made a mistake, probably a series of them. If you realized this, then that's when you say sorry and call your mistake out (which saying this to players you consider terrible is hard unless you drop the ego). That usually keeps people somewhat happy or at least they have someone to flame on without thinking too hard so they focus a bit better. If you didn't realize your mistake that's when accepting the flaming as constructive comes in and if you didn't make a mistake at all you should be carrying, with 0 deaths and they'll give up pretty fast. (both your teammates on attacking you and the enemy team at 20 minutes mirite lol) Sticks and stones guys, if someone hurts you with words it's your own weakness, they have their own to deal with themselves. See above.
