I play Dominion for two reasons. Practicing a champions teamfight/skirmish (because that's literally all that happens) and for a quick game when I'm pressed for time.

This is hella funny.
Well to be fair, sotl is just bad. That the pros prefer one show or another doesn't really mean much if JP finds the good lol players that can a) says interesting things b) go deep on things once in a while. The name of the players is less important than the overall ambiance between the invite and the host, and the quality of the debate. Sotl feel like constant fan service, with some famous names once in a while, joking and saying random stuff, answering pre scripted questions with nothing really interesting or out of the ordinary. Travis just doesn't do his work in thinking out the questions and he is not at JP's level of hosting that most of his shows are just filled with either blank, laugh, or people repeating the same thing in a circle.

No, on PBE you can't hit the lantern after you grabbed. Here, he moves right as he grabs, that's why the point where he hits is different than the point he aims at initially. He doesn't even need to shoot toward Graves, just to anticipe the path his fist will travel across.

The souls have diminishing returns, so while you can get an infinite amount, the return is negligible.

Did they lower the cap? It used to cap at .5 Ar/AP which is very nontrivial.

Each successive soul after the first gives -0.01 armor/ap. So the first soul you pick up gives 1 armor/ap, second soul gives .99 armor/ap, so on and so forth. The diminishing returns is capped at 0.5 armor/ap per soul. Other than that, there is no limit.
In an average game you'd probably get like ~150 souls. Probably no more than ~200. It takes something like ~120 souls to match the highest base armor of any other LoL champ.
I mean, yes it's possible to get so many souls you have 99.99999% physical damage reduction, but that takes so long it's not really an issue.
Also there's no diminishing returns on Q damage, 1:1 ratio on souls regardless of how many souls you grab. If a game goes long enough Thresh becomes an on-hit carry whether or not he built that way.
Also I'm not so sure it's actually possible to get to "99.99999%" physical damage reduction even in an unlimited length game, considering 65565 armor only gets you to 99.95% reduction. (Though I doubt it's actually limited to a 16 bit integer)
Wikia says "Thresh, with his effectively infinite stacking, can obtain a maximum of 500,024.75 armor off his passive alone. With the same set-up as above, he can obtain a total of about 526,014.3 armor, reducing physical damage by 99.981%. If he disconnects, he can obtain up to 527,064.3 armor, reducing roughly the same amount. " Though I'm not really sure where they're getting that maximum from. Must be hard coded into the game somewhere.

It isn't possible since the minons get too strong to kill at a specific point.
Well I didn't really consider that. But champions also drop souls so you could just do it on dominion without capping any points and just harvesting the enemy champions over and over again. No risk of the game ending early there.

Someone on reddit tested it. It was 255 souls cap.

This is very odd because I had tested this on the PBE. The interaction sort of worked in that I could click the lantern directly after I shot my fist out, but the victim (in this case, blue buff) only traveled as far as he would have if he had been Rocket Grabbed alone, not to the Thresh Lantern as shown in the video.

That wasn't intended, they went and uncapped it when this was brought to their attention.
