I just saw this yesterday and it blew my frickin mind (I at first thought it was a new patch-related bug) - I'm walking along and all of a sudden I see a blue buff golem walking in the river (on its way back to its starting point). Then the enemy Syndra says "damnit I wanted to throw blue buff at someone". hahaha All I could say was WTF Someone showed from PBE that Syndra can bring the blue buff all the way to the fountain (she won't get the buff if the fountain gets the kill). It takes quite some time though.

In this patch I have noticed that more idiots who have no idea what the hell to build are showing up. Building the same things as usual would probably still work. People seem determined to use then new items even when they are not the best choice.

Who are these people that take so long to shop? I spend most of my time at the fountain waiting for mana regen as it is.

Experimenting with new items and builds after a massive patch changes a bunch of items and builds, makes people idiots?

Okay, I was totally wrong. The boots upgrade where your allies run faster if they're running towards you is absurdly strong. I just played my first game on the new patch and the upgrade is so good on Maokai for teamfights as long as you can survive the initial burst of damage. The new jungle item that gives you health, armor, and tenacity is really good too, and the aegis upgrade is really awesome against double ap comps.

But generally I agree, the only way we're going to figure out how to build new items is to mess around with them, and if you're really that great a theorycraft you should be able to win more games since the other players won't be able to build as well as you.

any recommendations for lee jungle wrt new items? i just played a game and ran the exact same as before, only adding ravenous hydra for the lulz
i wanted spirit stone kinda but mana regen? idk if it's worth it

Zzz played a couple of games as AD, got horribly destroyed. 1 game Vayne, 1 game Koggles. Should maybe add that both games were 4v5 :/
Anyway, is boots+3 still the best way to start as AD? I did both games, it felt ok-ish. Rushing new items is definitely something I'm not going to do again though (rushed Runaan's on Kog, SotD on Vayne). BT/IE first will still be standard I think, those attack speed items just give you so little base damage. I got SotD first on Vayne against a Kog that went PD. I could 1v1 him very easily (pop ulti, 3 shots and he was pretty much dead), but I never got the chance due to his Nunu support zoning whilst my TF stood in base, oh well. Even though SotD felt pretty strong and I do think it will be a core item, it isn't that great as first item.

i played a game of 3s and went muramana/sotd/statikk/wit's on kayle.
that was... dumb. sure was funny to go nuts with 3 crits and massive attack speed and to see all my mana drain. totally not worth it.
i can see statikk being legit over PD for people with wave clearing problems... maybe...

So glad to see that the champion threads are being put back to use ^_^
Apparently black cleaver+ghostblade is super strong on AD Casters right now. Anyone tried it on Riven/Zed?

I'd say it depends. if you are trist corki caitlyn or ashe i'd probably get boots first if not i'd probably go long sword +2.

Chaox was in love with it on his stream yesterday, talking about how it might replace Phantom Dancer...but we'll see if that actually happens.

From what I saw Statikk has the same problem as ionic spark: not enough range to reach the backline. Tiamat works better in that regard.
Also I don't see anything wrong with people experimenting. Saw a Trist with IE->zephyr->hurricane. I think it's obviously suboptimal because SotD synergizes a lot better with IE's passive, and Trist doesn't have any particular advantage to take off of hurricane (unlike Cait/Kog/Varus/Ashe), but as I jokingly said to him after spectating (he took it pretty badly when I used to try and help him with his builds), "The only reason I kept quiet was 'cause it's s3, you gotta try" (also since I can't play atm he does it for me ). Not sure what would fit Trist actually. Probably same IE/PD as before, she doesn't really get anything from zephyr apart from tenacity, hurricane I already addressed, and she doesn't have particular burst to go with SotD (E is a DoT and outside of laning phase W-ing in is risky). SotD could be useful to get jump resets though, and would make her even better at cleaning up as she has pretty good chances to use it twice in a long teamfight with her range and resetting repositioning tool.

I went BC on Kha'Zix, felt pretty good. It's a really neat item. Haven't combo'd it up with ghostblade yet though.
Btw, anyone else feel that laning/jungling in general just feels a lot slower? Harder to harass people out of lane, harder to gank, a lot of passivity early on from other people than in your lane. IE getting counterpicked in lane sucks so much harder than before.

Not sure what's the deal with the passivity, technically reduced early jungle pressure and if you have a ward you can feel much safer. Maybe it'll just take time for people to adjust.

I think people are just getting used to all the new items and builds and they're not as comfortable as before, since it's pretty much a whole bunch of stuff hitting you at once. I'm sure in a couple of weeks once people find optimal builds gameplay will start to speed up.

hmm BotRK is kinda meh on ad carries tbh, the range on the active is super small (cutlass) but i guess you could use it as an own peel tool
