I clearly need to play more "diving" champs like him (I tend to wait for initiation as Irelia/Jax, and the lack of gap closer on Udyr just makes me way too reliant on how my teammates have fed their opponents) but since he's got so low ratios and he doesn't do enough base damage to warrant a full CDR tank build, I dunno what to build on him to still do damage past level 11. Your ult gives you a lot of resists so you'll want to prioritize hp over resists. I generally rush bruta into an hp item and topping that off with fh for full cdr. Games haven't gone long enough for me to try but lw doesn't seem like a bad choice since ult is physical too.

Jungling is intrinsically safer than laning and harder to counterpick, because the jungler is mostly PvEing out of sight of the opposing team. It feels awfully broken if a champion that has a very bad laning phase can just hide in the jungle and farm for 20 minutes (occasionally going around for a kill) yet still has similar farm to a solo lane. The jungle will still be less than a lane (though an argument can be made that the jungler can not miss CS like a laner can). Also, counterjungling is destructive, something that we have forgotten in S2 jungle. Considering the new big monster is like, 80% of a camp's farm (someone correct me on that), people like Nunu, Shy, etc, (who can kill the big monster quckly and escape) can shut down farm junglers pretty easily, even if they don't fight them directly. Plus, a farm jungler isn't helping their team, so even if they are getting "safe, free farm", the enemy jungler has made the enemy team much stronger than what that one person with jungle farm can make up for.

You can't steal camps from someone who keeps them perpetually cleared. If farm jungling became a thing you'd need a concerted team strategy to catch and control them.

I wonder what good the "slow reduction" mastery will do on him. The lack of gap closer doesn't resume itself to slows now.

If we keep the same Wolves-Blue-Wraiths-Wolves-Red-Wraiths path, someone like Nunu starting blue, stealing big Wraith, and then going back to his own jungle puts the enemy way behind currently, and he can keep that up throughout the game. Warding the enemy jungle helps that, as well.

On the flip side, you also don't feel as far behind if you miss a wave from roaming/backing/warding/invading/etc. It could, in theory, make it less damaging doing something that's not sitting and farming for 20 minutes. ...is what I would say if mids weren't already super roam-heavy right now. AD's can't really roam, so it really only affects Top. Which I'm kind of fine with, honestly.

Warding the enemy jungle helps that, as well. First, the big Wraith is only worth 25g now. Second, "if he can keep that up the entire game" is a big if. There are huge risks involved in invading enemy territory, and one death will erase 12 successful thefts.

The gold diff between laners from your zoning is less, but the gold diff between the camping jungler and the "farming" jungler is also less (he gets less gold from camps AND they take longer to clear). Thus the balance of power is not shifted between farming and ganking. By the way, the stated goal of the jungle change was to shift the balance of power between farming and ganking. The changes make absolutely no sense, if they wanted more junglers in the jungle they should have buffed the gold and made it harder for mids to take wraiths and wolves, and flipped dobule golems to face red.

I agree. I dont believe this change is for the best. Games will be closer but it's not impossible for teams to comeback from big disadvantages now, so the games that are one sided, are one sided for good reason

From the man himself. Cheeky way of putting it in the game though.
