I picked Viktor last game, it was AD or jungle and I didn't feel like playing Sivir against Cait (only other AD I play in ranked is Ez and he was banned). First pick Shen instantly calls gg because "Viktor sucks", "Viktor is bad", "cba read, tl;dr Viktor sucks".
Well we had bad opponents (read: I outfarmed and outroamed and sometimes killed Lux and he could 1v1 the enemy Jax even post-6, both match-ups that were against us) but I ended up wrecking the enemy team every teamfight, 12-4-8 (off 26 team kills) and melting anyone who tried to dive our carry. And when in post-game chat I ask him if Viktor is that bad, he just blames it on Lux. :<
Oh well, some more underestimating of my favorite shuffler can't be bad. That game made me notice that even with a superb farmer like him roaming puts a dent into my cs.

No Ryze/Galio/Nunu/Taric/Kayle. Kayle 3 shotting people. Sigh thought Bot games were quick wins, didn't realise people were this bad in them. I was like 20-1 singed too. Can't do jack lategame vs that team :<

The trick is to always push where the bots are not and just kill towers and stuff while your team continues to fail against them somewhere else on the map or chases for kills instead of doing anything productive.

To add to this: bots will always fall back to defend a tower instead of just pushing for the win. Split pushing is extremely strong against bots.

It is possible to play 1v5 against bots without buying a single item. Usually when the players lose against bots it is because some of the players fed the bots.

The funny thing about using umbrella terms like "mechanics" is that even though they are vaguely defined they are still well understood. No matter which way you argue about what it truly means, it's efficient to call WeiXiao or Doublelift good mechanical players. Everyone understands that. There's no question.
But for in-depth analytical articles looking at specific plays or for evaluating someone and telling someone how to improve, those terms are unreliable. Saying stuff like "You need to work on positioning" is just like... wtf man. I have no idea what the hell that means. But if I show you my replay, I'm AD carry, and the AP carry used their cooldowns and walked a little too close to me, and instead of taking that opportunity to put damage on him/her, I'm hitting the tank who doesn't pose any threat to me at the moment, then we can work on something.

His laning phase is retardedly strong, but he falls off because his damage mechanics is hard to use in a teamfight. Also he has poor mobility and no escapes.
And oh, playing against Draven as MF is such a nightmare.
