Taric and leona because they are both really good at applying safe pressure without dying. Pressure wins botlanes in LowElo, not kills. On the bonus, both are also really good at comboing with a competent ADC if you do get one, so you CAN get kills reliably) and controlling your lane perfectly, plus having enough spare gold to ward the shit out of everything. I mean, ward their jungle, ward mid bottom river bush, ward ALL the things and ping when you see stuff. Support is really the best shotcaller/strategist position in low elo because most people actually have to pay attention to last hit anywhere near decently, unlike in mid-high elo. If you get their attention and make plans, you can control a game. If you have a support MVP, not a support who goes frozen heart first and never buys a ward, and plays tryndamere, you can legitimately carry a team. You just have to remember you are support for mid and jungle as well, not just your ADC. When you start winning them their lane, start going and winning other ones as well. Make sure you let them know you're going to do this and to play safe and hold their advantage though. You also want to make sure you have a really solid set of clutch picks if your team are paintsniffers. Try and get good on one allrounder champ for every position (I can carry reliably on ahri, udyr and irela while maining support and ADC) In any case, I've managed to drag myself up 150 elo since then, slowly but surely. I understand the frustration at doing well every game and still losing perfectly, but really the only cure is just keep driving yourself to do better. A 2.1 KD ratio average isn't good enough. It's not good enough as a support, I mean XD. For low elo support, especially if blitz is banned, just play sona, and zone-a them hard. I am pretty sure that sona is the best at safely winning lanes against anything that is not a good blitz or leona. If you duo with a competent ad, you can take one of those, but if you are just there by yourself, leona is way to risky. You go allin, and you ad does not follow? You are dead. Sona just punches their face in until they can't even get close to you anymore. Also, i don't know what exactly they ban at low elo, but if it is not eve, just go eve mid and win all lanes every game and go godlike. Ward coverage will be bad, pink wards even rarer and map awareness will be bad too. As soon as you show up bot and get a double kill, their team will dissolve itself by raging at each other. Bot will flame mid for no miss, and mid will flame bot for feeding you. Top will flame both of those, and all of them will flame the jungler. Thus they are all typing and not playing, and you win. | ||

One of the problems I have issue with is how Soraka does not counter Sona, even though in theory Soraka should (sustain > poke). I feel the issue here is that Soraka is currently too weak and might need a buff. | ||

Her teamfighting is so, so good. | ||

No way, basically Sona is the only poker with enough of it to outdo soraka, she still completely outheals basically everyone else like lulu etc | ||

Soraka outscales sona hard though. | ||

I was of the absolutely opposite impression. Of course it depends on the type of fights that happen, the more poking is going on, the better soraka is. But in hard engages, i'd say that sonas ult is way better then anything soraka brings to the table. | ||

I have to disagree on both of these points. At the very least if sona lanes with a champion with magic damage (kog corki ez mf) sona has poke and an AoE cc ult. It's hard to say soraka outscales sona if the team comp and lane context isn't there. A sona ult might win a teamfight against a soraka if soraka has squishy teamfights.
