I do them on Amumu (and Hec occasionally) as well, but it's really dependent on how much map presence you want to have. If you're in the jungle farming most of the time or camping one lane most of the game, they're not really necessary to get around.

They're the best on Skarner because Mobo + W + Reverie = YOU'LL NEVER ESCAPE.

I laugh at junglers who dont replace their mobility boots for mercs/tabi when teamfighting breaks out.
This isnt Broodwar so I dont owe anyone respect for beating me. -arb

Not so much the daily part - this could be run biweekly for smoother tournies. IMO, it could just be a specific queue you enter in with one of your ranked 5s teams, and everyone would start at 1k ELO. You'd queue and play games during the week, raising your team's ELO for that tournament.

After a one week first phase, the next phase would consist of the top ten teams for each "ELO Bracket" facing each other in a BO3 bracket-type format to make it to the finals. The top three teams could receive some reward, such as IP or an IP-Boost/Rune page (obviously higher brackets would be higher rewards - for example, platinum bracket would receive a free skin code, or a considerable amount of IP/RP). For example, I could pay more IP or RP to buy into a gold or platinum level tourney to try and reap higher rewards, but obviously it'd be a lot harder). The platinum finals game could be casted by two community casters or RIot casters.

Overall, I think this would definitely encourage competitive play and an incentive to make a ranked team and participate.

I can also remember how fun mobility boots were on Rammus. I guess with the whole focus on blinks instead of just plain mobility Rammus isn't that strong anymore. Oh and the nerfs. Don't forget the nerfs.

Out of curiosity, does the auto attack reduction affect minions and monsters as well as champion autos? I assume it does logically, I just never bothered to check.

Yes.

Basically it reduces damage from anything that Tabi was capable of dodging.

It varies. Much of the time you don't want to do it at the first sign of teamfights because it's not worthwhile. Later on in the game you usually do.

Because Nunu is already like 450 movespeed with Bloodboil and can then permaslow, Cho doesn't really gain much from the out of combat movespeed, Olaf gains very little from them since you struggle to be durable out of the jungle and the minute amount of times that you'll get to q chain just from mobility boots is outweighed by the other boots, and Mundo has his ult for speed + mercs stacking with W.

Point of boots 5 is for hard imitators to close the gap and take advantage of positional mistakes.

I realize they are way more consistent at LAN events, but I'd say it at least gives some credibility to Eloblade as a new team.

I think the rest of the bo3 will be more telling than just one game. Let's see if ELOBLADE can keep it up.

I don't like them on Skarner - you're deep into diminishing returns-land bwtween your W and solid base movespeed (unlike Alistar / Maokai / Nautilus) and you're EXTREMELY LIKELY to get the extra movespeed poked off when trying to grab someone with your sub-200-range R. Alistar Maokai and Nautilus all hard-initiate from longer range, it's a lot less likely for them to get poked and lose the MS buff early while running quickly up to their 600-700 initiaton range. Skarner is GOING to get tapped well before his 200 range grab, and you need to be able to absorb damage on Skarner because of this short range.

It's the same reason as why not to run them on Nunu, IMO. You already have a great MS buff, you can permaslow... why mobility boots?

Edit: what are you watching this ELOBLADE vs M5 game on? I'm curious, I was wondering if FLord's new team would amount to anything, or be "FLord+4 guys"
