In DotA when you deny a turret the game is programmed to give out reduced gold for enemy heroes. Minions are coded to give reduced XP as well.

In LoL, GP's deny meant that no one got the XP or gold for minions he hit. Unless they specifically coded towers no one would get the gold for it. And even if they coded it to give a reduced amount he'd still be broken as shit since he'd be the only champ that could do it.

That's not entirely true - she does suffer from a kit that's really hard to make work smoothly. The thing is, damage/scaling increases could help her because it would make her a bit more like Draven: extremely high theoretical max damage, but balanced because there's no practical chance of achieving it.

She suffers from a kit that requires an inordinate amount of setup time to be effective, and thus telegraphs most of what she's about to do. On top of that she has no passive for her first 8 levels ( and it's not like her early laning is in any sense good to make up for it) and her mana costs are pretty high. Low ratios, bad teamfight, mediocre laning, no passive, high mana costs, requires setup to get the most out of her spells, everything about her stinks of awful champ.

That said, the drag skill is neat.

Honestly though her laning phase is great. Beside a few bad match ups (Mordekaiser and Diana come to mind) Syndra does great in lane. It's her teamfight that's really difficult.

Shit, just bought gragas yesterday and the guy's a monster. Got "countered" by Swain twice, beat them both times after I could farm with my Q. Insane aoe damage, and with DFG you can one shot just about anyone. How is he considered balanced?

Speaking of gragas specifically... anyone think he'd make a really decent support? Had one today fail but if you think about it, he has an attack speed debuff, a slow, and a decent initiation/disengage. Also, he's pretty damn beefy with his W. The more and more I think about it, the more legit it seems. I will test it out for a bit soon and tell you how it goes lol.

Yeah 4 games on normal isnt really a proper sample. Gragas is good sure thing, but normals usually mean a lack of communication, both on your end and theirs. Ganks hardly come trough and ganks that do happen are more random then anything. A good jungler will wait till you E
