So syndra's fun. She just has a lot of skillshots.
Her Q has a delay so I'm not sure why you would want that over say kennen's Q considering it's really hard to hit and it has a puny area. It has good dps though. Her W is two clicks so it takes time no matter what and it's hard to pick what to throw. Like I can't spam my abilities upon coming out of zhonyas because I have to mouse over a sphere or minion, then move my mouse back over an opponent. Her E is a nice knockback but it has a puny width until you get 5 points in it. And I'm not sure what the strength of a lined skillshot stun is compared to an instant cast stun. Also the knockback stun is counterintuitive for chasing. You want to stun someone, but you don't want to knock them back. Her R is a nice skill. Not sure if you should use it early so you have more balls for your E or if you want to save it for more damage.
She's just really hard. Her numbers look fine, except she has mana costs.

didn't try to use it on enemies, but i thought summons must be crazy op in this game for smite to exist just to hose them. Turns out I could probably play for 10 years and never see somebody smite a tibbers.

Does anyone else remember when the subforum first started, somebody made a thread for Kassadin that insisted on Flash+Smite, and when Uta came in and was like "wtf is this shit" and gave him the typical Uta knowledge-beatdown he insisted that it was his playstyle and we shouldn't criticize him for it?

Wow, comedy gold.
"Honestly it's funny how many of you all tell me I'm not justified in taking smite when clearly, it's my playstyle. If you're good at last hitting, good for you. Not everyone on Earth is as boss as you at last hitting, so if you want to take a better summoner spell, by all means go ahead, no one ever said you couldn't."
Being bad is now a playstyle.

Haha yeah I was referring to that discussion but I forgot that it was in the actual champion thread and not GD
..or that he defended his build so fiercely

I took it because it said 400-1000 magic damage. I mean really would you take that over shitty 200 damage ignite? HELL NO The you tried casting it on the other guy with somewhat limited success? Exactly, lmao. It was like "WHY WON'T THIS WORK OMG THIS GAME SO BROKEN." *5 mins later after reading the actual tooltip fully* "well fuck"
My first game was as Smite Malz botlane.
My team thought I was trolling, but I was capable of using the broken Malz ult combo, so it all worked out.

Watch, some guy is gunna run Smite Kassidan in your game, and he's going to ulti over baron wall, steal baron, flash out, and completely win his team the game. JUST YOU WATCH.

Always fun to see someone try to defend something indefensible.

I go greed Ashe sometimes... full gp5 runes/masteries with improved smite yo.

I miss the old jewplank when he still had his deny and gp10's stacked. T_T

My favorite part of that is where he says "I mean, sure i'm not 1600 elo or anything" as if that would somehow give his build more merit.

Using Smite because you're terrible at last hitting is a crutch.
ZOMG. Seuss in that thread has opened my eyes.
Edit: Also:
How was GP not ridiculous being the only character with deny in the game?

I used to take smite on lane nunu to counter heimer turrets along with nom lol.

Many old champs would be considered OP if released today. Fiddlesticks definitely would be.
Btw, I'm looking through the champ list and the only champ that I can't see being good in a solo lane is leona. She might be able to jungle but in the game I tried even that was hard. It sucks that half her damage is tied to a passive that requires other people. I guess this is my newb revelation for the day that supports aren't as bad in lane as I'd previously imagined.

You obviously haven't seen Shurelia playing mid Leona. The shit is broken.

I kinda like the "press w and autoattack people" trinity force leona. It takes you forever to kill people but they can't do anything to you.
