Denying was real stupid when you were lvl 7 and your opponent was only lvl 3-4. Once you got chalice(or philo stacking that some people did) deny/parley was really really stupid | ||

You could only ever deny at a rate of ~1 creep per wave unless you rushed some form of CDR (which your mana regen couldn't sustain anyway, so you still only denied at a rate of 1 creep per wave)--which doesn't really ever make the XP differential exceed a level. The main thing was that GP could be potentially abusable in 1v2 lane swap situations, since he can reliably get gold/levels by pulling the lane back, and the deny affecting a duo lane's XP really starved their XP gain. A lot of teams theorized this but none of them actually put it into practice in a tournament. | ||
