Fair enough! I am not surprised that Elementz got kicked out. While soloQ isn't everything, barely breaking 2k Elo does suggest something. Can salce even play the top lane? I thought he has always been a mid laner. He plays a good Vlad, Kennen and Rumble. Not sure about other top laners though.
It feels to me that Curse might as well keep westrice at the top lane (I think he plays OK.... most likely better than salce anyway who mostly play mid), then find another support player. I am sure it's not hard to find one better than elementz.
Unless, of course, westrice is totally sick of the top lane and wish to play a different role. This I can totally understand.

Since the days of Epik, Westrice has rotated around from Top, AD and Support. He's never had a huge amount of time on each role. Mostly AD on Epik and then Top for Curse.

Good support players are extremely rare. The only good support player that curse could have acquired is probably nhat.

don't you listen to Moonbear? the best supports are all former carries!
Not that I think elementz is like super good or anything, but he had very little to do with them getting 4th at regional, I mean I have a feeling this was going to happen anyway because Salce has been at the curse house pretty much since they moved into the house, butI thought his Blitz was actually pretty good at reigonals.

I used it about a year back but changed to legit smartcast because I had a lot of problems with it, specifically with Arcane Shift and other blinks.

My hand position is different if I only press Q or if I press Q+shift and, while it could be trained, the latter feels less intuitive and more awkward to me, I'd rather stay on plain Q if possible.
Also free week Darius. Dude's gonna get banned every draft normal. What beats him btw? Swain, Kennen, etc. seem to do fine against him, but it's kinda sharp with the range differential being low. Also it seems that even champs like Fiora, Panth, Wukong have trouble trading against him, so I guess he's kind of a "worse" Olaf for melee champs?

What exactly is the issue? If it's about Lux R range indicator, why not just use smart cast range indicator?

I already got it changed to shift + q for regular cast. The problem I have is that for some odd reason the game does not let you bind regular cast to shift which is really weird to me.

Instead of changing smartcast to shift + R every time I play Lux I want to be able to use shift + R in that rare time when I need to see the max range of a spell.

I think you should just use smartcast range indicator. The only difference is that you cast spells on keyboard button up instead of down (which is pretty minimal imo), but you can see the range when you press down and hold R.

And if you want to check the range on something you have to eventually let go of the key and cast the spell, no? That's the last thing I want.

After you have held down R, say, you can cancel casting by right-clicking then let go of your R key. Then nothing happens.

With 7 6300IP champions (6 of which I don't own), this is going to be such a fun free week.

I wish they didn't bench Elementz I've liked Curse as of late because they were a team made of dropouts and kicked-out players (except nyjacky I think?). It was really exciting to see that "half-assed" team go against the big ones and get results. But if they start to act like the other big teams and bench "Elementz the tool" then they're no different from the others

Rengar's up to 45% win rate. He's the only one I haven't played. No buffs and 37->45%.

has anyone else realized that giants belt is a red square in the spectator client (the icon) or am i tripping

Beside Rengar, I have played most other ones before (not Talon though, I simply didn't care enough to play him the last time he was free).
I kind of want to try Lulu a bit more this time (esp. maxing Q first). She is the only support I don't have (as soon as my Sona kicks in; come on Riot) and I am still pondering if I should invest in her.
I don't have Vayne either and I am itchy to play her a bit. I played on a friend's account from 1100 to 1300 Elo roughly a week ago, half of the wins were due to Vayne (didn't lose a single game as Vayne). Admittedly this has a lot to do with ADCs in this Elo range are absolutely terrible, it was still very fun (and borderline stupid) to carry the game by simply getting two items.

I kinda feel like Salce's non-committance to practice has been one thing that really kept Evo from being a much better team.
