Finish your degree first. Let me know if/when you apply.
Riot's in it for the long-run. No need to jump the gun heh

I'm only in HS, but I think you'll regret not getting your degree. Will probably also help with getting a position at Riot.

I can see Soniv being a Game Designer for Riot, in the background creating secret OP AP mids that he can use in ranked before it becomes FOTM
and buffing Viktor in small, subtle ways

Nah mang, that's Xyph's job. What kind of person would I be to take that away from him?

you have to have done something pretty major to really get by without a degree.
I'm prob going to apply for a tech design job when i'm out of the mad house in a couple years.

Is the plan. Halfway through this internship, I had the same change of heart. I had planned on going to the 1 year MBA program at my school since I could probably get almost a full ride, but realized I'm going to put that on hold (if not scrap the idea altogether). I love learning, but I've learned so much more this summer in an actual setting than under the tutelage of my oh so wonderful professors.

You go there to just get the name on your CV for the most part. That, and unless you work in something very technical a lot of the things you learn won't necessarily be applicable to the real world. It's more about the skills you have and how you can utilise them rather than the knowledge itself. Having actual experience definitely trumps book-education in many cases.
Or, as I was once told: "You can tell someone what to think, that's not a problem. Money and training fixes that. But you can't teach someone how to think."

I'm going to go ahead of you Soniv an shoot for a position.

I also do a good deal of learning in classes as a comp eng major. I'm currently working on a project controlling a laser using stuff I learned in a logic design class (dealt a lot with hardware interfacing), and doing data processing with matlab, which is something I, again, learned in a uni class. I think a lot of what you get out of uni depends on a lot of things, I don't think it's just about getting a name on your CV.
edit: I also think a lot of what you get out of classes depends on who is teaching it as well.

I agree with both of you. I would never have gotten this internship if I didn't go to my college (one of my professors called me at the beginning of the summer saying LEGO was looking for interns). At the same time, I find a lot of time wasted in classrooms. I learn more from interaction than lecture.
My dad's always told me "it's not only what you know, it's who you know". College offers a great avenue for networking.
E: damn smurf account...

You know you've lost some level when you lose your games 3 times in a row because despite "winning" your lane, your allies lose theirs faster and worse, prompting you to get permacamped by the enemy jungler and mid, making you unable to dispatch your opponent and roam. I really need to get back to the basics.
Is Darius banned a lot at your Elo(s)? It seems he's permaban whenever I play (except when I'm first pick), there are far worse than him though.

I wouldn't have gotten the internship position that turned into this job, if not for networking, references, and resources that my college provided me. (These resources are MASSIVELY underused. Use the career placement office at your school, etc.)
However, I feel like I've learned very little that I actively apply at work, as far as what I learned vs. what I do now. I got a reasonable foundation in computer science, but this foundation wasn't really solidified til I started applying it in the corporate world. I've learned more about programming, and GOOD programmming, in the workforce than in the classroom - and I was a natural in learning languages and programming concepts in the classroom.
