You have a hidden Normal Elo. Occasionally Riot makes a change and it appears in the log files or in the client somewhere and people poke at it, but most of the time you can't tell what it is.

There is a hidden ELO but many people don't care about winning that much in normals.

Unranked has hidden MMR, yes. If you're consistently getting teammates going hecarim/sin bot lane that's because the system believes you are as bad as they are.

Honestly if you're playing at a level where things like Hecarim/Lee Sin bot is common I would probably put more weight in the Hecarim/Lee Sin lane than the people running a "standard" bot lane.
It really doesn't matter what lane compositions you do if everyone in the game is bad.

the loot that mtg judges get is still pretty small time compared to the amount of work they put in. unless their pay scale went way the hell up in the last 4-5 years.

Double bruiser bot is actually pretty viable at low levels... just work around it and put an ad mid and a safe ap top

Hm. Yeh, I guess it's kinda thankless lol. But I'm nothing compared to a lot of the other Wrenches. Boompje is the guy in charge of the unofficial Mac Client. Which means he always needs to recompile and rewrite the code to make sure it's compatible with every game update. There's a few other Senior Wrenches that do stuff but it's confidential. But they're really, really talented.
That being said, being a Wrench does help if you apply to Riot since they you already and you tend to have good working relationships. There's quite a few Wrenches who ended up being converted to Red. But that's not something I'm interested in.

Iirc the standard is a Box of Boosters for a PTQ-level of event and occasionally a few Judge Promos depending on your judge level. For Regular REL such as FNM events it depends on the organiser. Could be anything from completely voluntary to some store credit based upon hrs worked or the number of players.

From what I've heard at least, Wizards is a pretty good company and treats their staff and affiliates well. If I do go back to playing MtG when RtR comes out, I might actually apply for Level 1.

Best to do this duo-queue though so the bot lane understands each other. At low levels, AD carries don't know how to poke and punish positioning with harass in lane very well. Like, when you try to zone with a bruiser, you open yourself up to being harassed since the melee v range thing requires you to go all in. And if they can kite you, it really hurts. Also remember. You don't need an AD to take down towers if the enemy is all dead and can't defend anyway.

My favorite part about Rengar is when you stealth, run faster than anything else in the game, leap for 300-400 damage, then auto attack the carry for 1600 damage, killing them instantly before they know you're there.

Ranked is no guarantee you won't get idiots. That said, while teams should try to work out a composition that goes together, demanding that your teammates play particular champs just means you're making an arse of youself. If you continued to harass them about it, you may well have deserved getting reported.

Normals is mostly people who don't give a fuck (hi 5 smite teams) and won't ever play support.

It's the opposite for me. I'm always matched with really good players in normals and have a ridiculous amount of retards (ragers) in my ranked games lol.
