atleast alistar is kinda not that bad It's the same exact thing, he just moves to you instead of you moving to him. If they run away, easy grab. If they actually let you get in melee range you powerfist them and grab when they run.

It was my understanding that some time ago Blitz was acknowledged to be very strong but because of the difficulty of his hook it was acceptable. Blitzcrank is a case of the playerbase improving enough to make him a threat perhaps? That'd be pretty neat.

Blitz Grab is one of the best things for this game. Forces you to find some aggressive strategies instead of having standoffs at Baron. He might be OP or not, who knows, but this game already lacks abilities that favor initiation over counter initiation.

I've been bitter about Blitzcrank for like 2 months. I was one of the few people consistently playing him. I'd run blitz support often, and the minute spectator patch hit suddenly he became more used in high level games. Suddenly everybody seeing it meant they started. It bothers me, not because of my hipster status w/ blitz, but because he's banned so often that if I want to support I can never use him anymore.
I entirely agree with spine though. The game needs more good ways to engage on champions and blitz certainly allows that.

Good blitz players have always known how to play him to his maximum effect - landing nearly every hook they need to land and the occational lucky grab. If you are good with blitz, you can win the game for your team.
Also, yea the game needs more abilities like the blitz hook, poppy ult, amumu bandage or noct ult. Abilities that makes engaging and ganking favourable and effective even when the other team has the advantage, but can be difficult to use right.

Why would you run away at full hp in a 5v4 anyways?

Noct ult is great initiation and it makes you feel badass, but it's the vision reduction that's annoying, same with Graves' smoke bomb, it takes like 2 seconds to walk out of that thing, and if that's happening late game, you're already dead with no chance of retaliation.

That's easily solved by not splitting though. If team is together you can stomp anyone trying to dive someone.

It's not just that though. It's his ability to bypass wards by just lane ganking. Too strong. Then late game the vision does screw with people badly >_>

Cos I got ganked by 5 and my team wasn't near so I just let the ignite tick the AD carry down as I escaped o_O My comment was more like "poppy ult imba"
Also I absolutely hate nocturne ulti. The blink is fine but making every fight near brushes autoloss for the enemy team is really stupid.

I personally don't need more initiation/counter initiates. Pros do though with their sub 20 kills games.
