While on the topic of kennen, what do you think of getting berserker's on him while going AP? I like the idea of just rushing those boots instead of the semistandard double dblade and then doing standard kennen AP things. They will be more useful for you than the dblades in the long run and you will be able to stun your opponents more often.
Seems like a waste, when you could get mercs or tabis, attack speed not really gonna help you as much in lane as the bonus AD and the slight lifesteal i dont think

What's the LoL equivalent to TL? Like, is there any website that has a LoL-based community that's anything like here? Anywhere where a new player can learn things like modern build orders or the metagame?

Yeah I usually ban Nautilus, Lee and Ali. I don't mind laning vs anyone but people with stronk ganks are killer

Shaco Jax Shen / Alistar / Lee Sin
Ban Shen if FP, force them to ban it or give it away otherwise. Can do the same with Alistar. Naut is easily shut down if counterjungled heavily (similar to Rammus) so you can pick around the enemy FPing naut pretty well.
Lee Sin is really obnoxious, but people still feed Alistar / Shaco much more and Jax still snowballs out of control very easily. Really need about 10 bans to cover everything that needs banning.

I would assume either SoloMid.net or LoLPro.com would have to fit that bill, but I dunno.

This is the closest thing to "LoL equivalent to TL" really.
The big three sites for guides are http://www.solomid.net/guides.php , http://clgaming.net/guides , and http://www.lolpro.com/guides . The guides on all three are written by high elo players (only look at the "featured" for the first two sites) so you can choose from them based on the layout or whatever. The third site (lolpro) has several guides on metagame stuff, mostly titled "Game Play Guide."

This is the general discussion thread, just updated for each new patch. There is no true TL equivalent for LoL but there are some community sites like solomid.net or clgaming.net where you can talk to other people. Both of those sites have guides where you can look up builds other people use but solomid's section is a bit more established. You can also look at lolpro.com for builds and guides.

i don't think ali's that scary in solo queue as a top laner
all you have to do is play patiently til you see him on the map. it's solo queue, the other team is only using pings and "fuck you gank my lane"s to communicate, so ali's not gonna camp your lane for 3 straight levels like he will in arranged 5s.
ali's true terror comes in arranged play with excellent communication and patient players. i've seen ali players literally take red buff then camp my top laner from level 2-5. without leaving the river. that's a true terror, not that wussy 1-gank-attempt solo queue stuff
basically what i'm saying is ban shen/lee/kennen instead, those are the real biatches to go against as a top laner

I have no issues with Ken, I play aggressive top laners.
Alistar is awful to face when you spawn top side (not sure which color purple i think.) Alistar starts blues and comes in a ganks, Goes around tribush ganks, goes to your red with his mid then ganks etc. So many more options for him if he is on bottom team. I know when I play Alistar jungle i camp top and top jungle like its my job. Tell bot to take my bot jungle so their jungler cant. Gank top and mid forever.
and wow really 2.5 hours? When I logged in at 3PM EST it was a 45 minutes que. I wasn't even planning on playing I just wanted to be in since I knew ques were going to be up.

I don't play enough on week-ends, trying to get your daily win without wasting your IP boost on coops is both funny and infuriating when you have to deal with those kids. Got 3 afk, 2 ragequits, a game without jungler, 4 queue dodges in a row, and the only game to have a support on our team was when I picked one.
I don't understand why you guys are frustrated that the queue stops you from playing, are you so eager to deal with futile people?

Doesn't Udyr demolish the first 2 if he maxes turtle? Obviously Kennen smashes him though.
Dunno, don't think Kennen would be that bad IF you ran a rune page for MR top. Every time I play him at my scrub elo people don't have more than 40 MR usually. Though I still have yet to face AP Kennen top. Faced AD Kennen that had 76 AD at level 1 vs my Irelia. Stomped me for the first few levels, didn't feed any kills though so I proceeded to just dive on his face every time and demolish him at level 8.
Honestly, maybe its just Irelia, but I feel she can fight pretty much anyone at level 8-9 and with items. Rush Wits+merc treads vs Kennen and it turns into a farm lane at worst imo.
But yeah, I hate Lee no matter what. His sustain is the dumbest thing I've ever witnessed after Yorick.

What? Alistar is king ganker right now. There is nobody I fear more. Top is DEFINITELY a scary place going against Ali. If he even remotely decides to be near your lane, or remain hidden, you will get nothing done. If you try, and he happens to be there, you lost your lane, almost 100% guaranteed. As a mid player, he's certainly scarier there. But to say that Alistar isn't that good a ganker against top lane is inane and ignorant.
