I'd only really recommend going dorans or somethign if you're going tiger, since Phoenix will give you the dorans for free while you cans pend gold on something to make you more tanky.

Yes this is my experience as well, but that's because everyone wants to play mid or top. AD's a good one to play because it's easier to get in general. I request AD politely right when queue pops. If someone takes it I'll request jungle. Solo queue picking with randoms is a big political/psychological game. If you give in and always play filler you're not going to do as well in the long run so you should always try to get your best roles/champions first. If people don't cooperate and you end up having to play support, you're better off not saying anything at all and doing it. The problem I have is that when I rarely play support and I get pushed into it, I will choose non-standard supports and do a good job with them but people will bitch nonstop about it so it's a lose-lose situation.

No man Dblades on tiger udyr with ad quints/reds are #1, ganks are hilarious and buff clears are insanely fast. Ganks are really hilarious tho, only reason to do it.

Lilballz actually typically goes 2DBlade->Visage on jungle tigerdyr. On lane, the Wriggle's stats seem infinitely better than DBlades, but with a jungle income, the buildup to Wriggle's can feel kind of shitty. 2DBlade definitely feels smoother to have in low-level scuffles than a Madred's Razors.

I dunno why you'd have AD reds and ArP quints when ArP reds/AD quints are more slot-efficient for the same stats. The only time to use AD reds is if you're already using AD quints, or are using MS quints (which you can't get on reds).

Mres glyphs is afaik quite common to use in counterpicking.
AD quints are usefull if you need better lasthitting early.
CDR runes can be usefull on some champions that don't itemize for it.
Mixed pen are kinda strange, but the extra pen is usefull on some bruisers.

I can see mixed pen being good on like Nid or ken or swain top. They tend to spend a lot of time autoing their opponents but also have a good amount of magic damage. I think hotshot actually uses hybrid pen on his nidalee.
While on the topic of kennen, what do you think of getting berserker's on him while going AP? I like the idea of just rushing those boots instead of the semistandard double dblade and then doing standard kennen AP things. They will be more useful for you than the dblades in the long run and you will be able to stun your opponents more often.
