Why aren't you also hating on m5 for abusing those gay global/semiglobal ulties?
It's such a bs tactic, isn't it?

m5 are creative team who uses weird and fun team composition, their games are dynamic and offensive while clg just keeps abusing OP champion (patch isnt on eu yet) which makes boring stand off games, i actualy think the global composition was forced to counter kog and I have no problem with it because it was 10x times more enjoyable to watch than 1st game.

I don't find their team comps fun. Nocturne is so boring.
This op champ abuse is just random shit thrown around.
Somehow no other team can abuse this OP-ness.
I wonder why...

EDIT: 4-man gank on bot.
So boring and passive.

Biggest problem with these games is the bloody terrible Camera control.

you dont get it dont you? kog makes games boring as fuck, we just see clg defwhore around objectives and poker with him because he has insane range and dmg, yes he is OP that arent my words but scarras and many other pros in state of the league said that, you dont see him played by other teams so often because he is almost perma banned in tournaments by most teams

If he is so OP M5 should ban him. They didn't, so that's on them.

It's your very personal opinion, what's boring and what's not.
As others have already stated, it requires a lot of team coordination, If you can't appreciate it, it's ok, but calling it OP and boring as fuck when you don't know how much work it requires is a bit stupid.
Sure, this isn't the most flashy game-style you seem to love most, but this game can be played in a lot of different ways.
Others might like this "boring" style, which heavily relies on landing a lot of skillshots in a rapid succession.
Or isn't mechanical skill a favourable aspect of spectating an e-sport?

Oh it's just AD KogMaw and M5 still can't engage. Didn't see the rest of the match, but that's hard to believe when they have Noct and Irelia.

I don't get why Genja didn't pick Ashe in any of these games. He is one of the very few AD players that actually play her at a very high level. Her ultimate is what would have helped M5 versus super passive CLG.

This way, M5 eats axes, bindings and dredge lines until one hits so perfectly that CLG can start the fight and win it uncontestedly.

Anyways, gg wp CLG, at least their european counterpart does pretty well currently. I like them a lot.

Getting through Morgana and Nautilus cc is absurdly difficult, especially when they're the ones always on the aggressive and engaging.

If M5 picked Ashe the arrow ults would have been useless because of Morgana though.

Depends on the arrows. As I said, I think Genja is smart enough to hit some very nice ones. Ofc in the last 10-15 minutes M5 was so far behind that Noc + Irelia would not have been able to follow up a good arrow effectively.

But I can imagine that a good arrow here and there during those small skirmishes and first 2 or 3 dragon fights could have made the difference before CLG's position became so dominant and unshakable. If M5 had the possibility to engage when chances were even it might have gone another way (in my opinion).

Was Galio banned? Alex's Galio would have fit their comp better then Vlad, and it would have given M5 the hard engage that they needed for dealing with yellowpete's Kog Maw.

That Taric/Ezreal pick did nothing to help M5 in that match. Even when Alex Ich got off perfect ultimates, they had no way to engage safely.

They needed a teamcomp that could go balls deep to engage on Morgana or Kog'Maw, such as an Amumu, Kennen, Ashe, Alistar, Irelia/Jax/Lee Sin. M5 either had to have a hard engage teamcomp or a teamcomp that could outpoke CLG. Obviously, hindsight is 20/20, but I wonder why NA/EU teams don't prioritise teamcomps and overall game strategy that much.

I feel like the buffs to swain only helps him early game...

I really wish they would buff his late game where is the weakest...his early game is already strong enough

I just remember all the games where a Morganna and Ashe were on opposing sides the AP Carry always had fast enough reaction time to shield whoever was going to be hit with arrow.

That Kog'Maw comp requires a lot of execution and mechanics to be successful against higher caliber players. Once you understand how much effort it requires, you can appreciate it more.

+ Show Spoiler +
Unrelated to LoL but I think relevant to my point:

Most people wouldn't understand what an intense match that Sagat mirror was and think it was stupid fireball spam. These two players are constantly fighting for a small edge and once you realize how much mind games and execution is required to zone, it becomes a lot less boring.

I think people who think such gameplay is "boring and gay" simply don't understand or appreciate how much skill it requires.

this thread always sucks for like 4 days after patch notes come out. "Boring and gay", nice analysis.

I actually really enjoy watching CLG.eu's gameplay. I like the way how they can take incremental advantages and slowly and methodically snowball that into a victory. It shows the signs of fantastic teamwork, coordination as well as strategy and personal skill. I have yet to see this collection of qualities from any other NA/EU team, and I think CLG.eu definitely belongs with WE and TPA as one of the top 3 teams in the world.

Froggen and Wickd are outstanding individual players, but more importantly their synergy with the team is flawless. Krepo is an outstanding support player who is very versatile and is almost never responsible for losing bot lane. Yellowpete, sad to say as a long-time fan, is a weaker individual player and makes some poor decisions, while snoopeh is quite weak mechanically (but is probably still the best jungler in NA/EU).

NA/EU teams put too much value in solo queue practice and don't scrim/drill enough. This enforces certain attitudes and de-emphasizes certain aspects of the game (such as drafting).

Chinese teams treat solo pub play as a separate and completely different game that they play in their free time. This is an attitude carried over from DotA, and IMO it has an effect on their play.

Mmh I'm not sure where you're getting a "poke comp" from, the only champion that they run is Kog Maw. Olaf, Anivia, Maokai aren't really poke champions, they're designed for teamfights. It's nothing like the CLGna comp where they avoid teamfights as much as possible.

No, this is actually a typical example of a balanced "poke comp". Kog'Maw, Anivia, Olaf and Maokai all have considerable poke, especially the threats of Anivia's stun+frostbite combo and Kog'Maw's ult, slow and steroid. Then you have Olaf for shielding with the threat of 300+ true damage in the face for any diver, as well as Maokai and Anivia for teamfight control, and lastly, Anivia's wall for disengage/poke trapping.
