Either Darius or Varus. im not sure what the tournament is up to atm.
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

well yeah but I'm more interested if its before or after the map remake that introduced a lot of movement glitches and bad walls.

That Taric/Ezreal pick did nothing to help M5 in that match. Even when Alex Ich got off perfect ultimates, they had no way to engage safely.

They needed a teamcomp that could go balls deep to engage on Morgana or Kog'Maw, such as an Amumu, Kennen, Ashe, Alistar, Irelia/Jax/Lee Sin. M5 either had to have a hard engage teamcomp or a teamcomp that could outpoke CLG. Obviously, hindsight is 20/20, but I wonder why NA/EU teams don't prioritise teamcomps and overall game strategy that much.

NA/EU teams put too much value in solo queue practice and don't scrim/drill enough. This enforces certain attitudes and de-emphasizes certain aspects of the game (such as drafting).

Chinese teams treat solo pub play as a separate and completely different game that they play in their free time. This is an attitude carried over from DotA, and IMO it has an effect on their play.

Dont know about other teams, but CLG.eu basically always scrim when all of their players are available. Some go to university, so its only possible from 7 to 11 though.
But they never play solo q at that time, so I dont know how they could scrim more. And they dont seem to put any value in solo q other than for practicing certain champs.
M5 also seems to scrim a lot, probably even more.

You're right. It's no coincidence that they are the two strongest NA/EU teams by some margin. That's why I was even more so surprised at M5's choice to not counter CLG.eu's teamcomp in game 4. M5 did deliberately hide their game strategy and teamcomp preparation heading into an IEM last year, but I'm surprised that they might still not have the confidence to demonstrate their near full potential in all competitions now (perhaps keeping a couple cheeses up their sleeves for series play), especially considering that the online competitions these days all involve $1000+ first place prizes.

Those 2 teams are probably the stand-out exceptions. Its no coincidence that they're seeing so much success.

There is of course, still the issue of drilling, but that's been discussed before--without subs/b-team drilling things such as 1v1s is somewhat impractical.

It's interesting to see Riot giving everyone permission to monetize LoL videos. What's the policy on this for other big titles?
