I do think that Riot could do something quite easily and quite fast. Indeed, what they need to improve is the PvP.net client which is hardly half of the game client, the in-game client works quite well tbh and probably doesn't need more work. What makes the task easier is that they already know how they want the PvP client to look like, what functions they want it to have and the server are arleady operationnal with them. So they just need to code a client with something easy like a fucking C++, language that a lot of people master, link it to the servers and it's done. They probably won't need more than 1 or 2 programmers working on it full-time (although I could be wrong since I don't do that at all) and at the end they would have a more stable and faster client easier to fix. I understand that they had other stuff to do this last year (splitting the EU servers, making a spectator client, etc) but they really should consider leaving this fucking Adobe Air. | ||
