As a side request, I'm thoroughly incompetent and cannot register on Europe because it auto sets my location for me and won't let me register.
Can anyone assist in this?

Stop. Please. We have heard your opinions, and, while they may be warranted, you're continuing to shit up the thread. There is no reason to continue this discussion.

Yeah, I moved to Texas like five months ago as well. Alcohol laws in the south in general are pretty stupid.

i was actually going to respond earlier to the post about your job and say that i was similar/had a similar experience i was working five 10-hour shifts per week for $7.75/hour at a job a few years ago. didn't particularly love my job. but i liked taking home the money... i would have probably worked more often if i was asked to - i had one string of shifts where i worked eighteen 10-hour days in a row. it wasn't even very stimulating or rewarding work. i just came to work because i was getting paid for it. would i have wanted to keep doing that for 6 months in a row? no. not for that amount of money. but i still found time to have fun before/after my shifts. if my boss was paying me $30/hour i would have been glad to work 60 hours a week even for several months at a time. i would have just been even more grateful of my few hours per week i had to dick around doing what i wanted to do when not at work. my point was just going to be that there are people who will get the job done for the right price. are you that person? maybe not, maybe you enjoy your free time too much. am i that person? maybe not either, i don't consider myself a super hard worker. i'm just saying that for the right paycheck (and for RIOT, money ain't a thang), people will get the job done in the timeframe you want it done in. no matter what the job is.
in the end it just comes down to what 2 posters above me said - one, that riot is very careful bout who they hire (except for psyonic_reaver, jk luv u psy), and two, the people that control the money probably don't see the small things as sound investments. and that leads me alllll the way back to my original post on the subject. when riot is done building houses completely out of gold bricks or whatever they're doing with the infinite money they make, they'll come around to perfecting the code and the client. i'm just disappointed it hasn't happened yet
/rant /questions /replies on the subject, sorry i offended so many of you

Just wondering if anyone has anything to back up the whole "Riot has more money than God" thing that a few people are putting forth. Like hard financial information, not "lol Ez skin will make them so much dough". Are they really that well off? I imagine between running the servers, promotion, and development they're probably not that flush with cash. Or are they really?

They did get purchased by Tencent for $400 million.. so they're doing OK I think.

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2379503,00.asp February 2011, tencent bought a majority share in riot for $400million, riot was estimated at $472million at that time that's over a year ago and the game and money have probably just grown exponentially from there

Just a quick note from me. Riot Games actually operated at a loss last year. Most of their money went to scaling up their operations with new server farms and staff.

Go on EU server and Q'ed up with LP eu. Randomly get Rhaz on the other team lol
Edit: Is Rhaz Haemonculous? Don't remember.
Edit #2: Haemonculou = Rhavanna, Rhazelle random streamer. Ok.

I made an account on EUwest because NA is down. Oh my god, I played on e game and can't bring myself to play another. 30 minutes and 50/0/2 later...
That wasn't even entertaining.
EDIT: How long does it take for you to not go 10/0/0 in lane? Zzz...

Don't mind when other people do it, just not for me. There's plenty of other people out there that don't get smashed when they go out.

you can mix most things with something else(jack and coke, vodka + oj) and make it drinkable(i.e get you smashed without realizing it). its just somethign to try once in a while, personally i always have people say you need to atleast get drunk atleast one time in your life

there are relatively few people who like the taste of any kind of alcohol honestly most people have to drink things that are relatively flavorless (light beer) or spruce them up so heavily that they completely mask the flavor (mixed drinks) just so they can get through the drinks and onto the effect. pretty small percentage of people drink things for the flavor (microbrew beers, straight whiskeys and the like) i drank pretty heavily in college and never really got to the "liking the taste" stage, it was more of a thing to do than a thing i liked to do haha
