I have played the matchup today and asked a friend (decent Kennen player, but a LITTLE bit of a weaker player than myself) to play it a couple of times and unless the Kennen is prepared and just farms from max distance, it seems like Nautilus is easily able to abuse the length of the lane to bully Kennen around. There comes a point where he can instaclear waves to harass Kennen, and once he drops below 65-70% and you're at least level 7 and have ignite and ult up, it's pretty much a guaranteed kill if you don't mess up. I don't know man, maybe it's just me, but I really fell in love with Naut today. Also, I see what he'd bring to the table mid, but so far I don't really see him replacing a real AP carry. Maybe if you run Kennen, Vlad or Rumble top and have a suiting jungler, sure. I would not like to have him as my main carry, though. Yeah, destroyed a Kennen top today as Naut, which I didn't expect - had queued a blink pick normal with an old friend and had hedged bets with 0/21/9 (both MR and armor etc) and Armor/Mpen/Armor/Mres per level runes, started cloth/ward/two pots + waiting for the third since they had a jungle Panth and my spider-senses told me he'd want to L2 gank top with red (which he did). Early levels I didn't do much apart from last hit, but the armor runes + cloth helped shrug off his autoattack harrass, and once you have your ult, you can murder him in lane, usually - you can quickly destroy the minion wave with your AOE so he can't Lightning Rush through it to creep-block your Dredge Line; point-blank Depth Charge while Lightning Rush is down lets you get in a bunch of Titan's Wrath-empowered attacks and a Riptide or two. Usual HoG/Philo/Mercs into Wit's End/Glacial Shroud etc. But yeah, was glad of the early ward to let me confidently go for every CS early since Naut's early levels are kind've frail with his cooldowns and shield strength; Kennen wasn't able to punish it enough without jungler intervention before I got too tanky to deal with.

I don't think TSM acquired EG for the purpose of mixing and matching players, and TBH i feel like calling them TSM B team would be a misnomer. From my understanding (aka. citation needed), it seems more like TSM is sponsoring EG, rather than actually 'absorbing' them. It seems to be more like the CLG eu and na dynamic, except that these two teams just happen to be on the same server.

Ali ganked my lane before I hit 2, and enemy mundo walked in and pooped on me =( But yeah, we won

Are there some matchups you just can't pick him in to.. or should you be maxing something other than shield? I have seen 2 nauts go mid in my games and just demolish their mid... it was pretty disgusting, I think they both went abyssal first. Is this just one of those things where you can counter pick certain champs? Or is it lack of experience from playing vs nautilus cause were just at 1550 elo or w/e Maybe this is the wrong thread for this -_-

I really like jungle naut, and wouldn't mind playing him top in solo que since I don't play many champions that can top(I just play irelia, vlad and I'm really not amazing with either).. maybe I should try him first before making assumptions.. Jarv, Riven, Jax... The thing is, if you are able to farm and not matched against something disgusting like Olaf or Renek, you become a BEAST once you hit 6. I don't like the GP10 route tho, I go 2 Doran's->Rylai's->Situational. So far, W>E>Q works really well. Not sure what to say - try it out and report, I honestly think he has a lot of potential against Kennen and Rumble. Also, his teamfighting is disgusting. Had Mao jungle, Blitz support, Urgot, Annie, Naut top today. Poor enemy carries.

I start boots and then build Philo -> Avarice -> Brutalizer. Typically I finish Shurelya's + Ghostblade before building items like Aegis, Hexdrinker, and Warden's Mail for resists, but the exact order and items obviously depends heavily on the state and nature of the game. I can go into more detail if you want, but the basic take away is that Wriggle's is terrible on Hecarim, CDR items and resist items are boss.

Why rylai, tho? W doesn't apply it, E is AoE and already slows, and Q and R cc their targets for longer than the rylai's slow affect them. I don't like lichbane either because of his long cd and the bursty nature of his combo (he won't intersped aa during it like Lux does).
