If you want the rest of the list: Plat is top .2% Gold is top 3% Silver is top 10% Bronze is top 25% So basically breaking 1250 is a HUGE accomplishment in terms of the actual number of people who play ranked. Of course, the only thing that REALLY matters is that the list can be broken down like this Plat: 99% chance of being terrible Below: 100% chance of being terrible. wowwwww gold is top 3%? Some would argue hardcore gamers. Most people who are not hardcore gamers in some way do not play SCBW or SC2. LoL is a game for everyone. Based on the above logic, MANY more people play LoL than SC2, hence why it is possible for bad players such as yourself (and me) to rated in a relatively high percentile of the population. As more and more people play perhaps elo inflation will increase the tier levels and 2.2k will become top 1%, for example.

I didn't play for a month, played again, lost 30 games in a row before placing into masters for the nth time, and I still play like shit. Right now I'm on my way to gold though, 1450 and going up.

Stopped playing SC2 before master's was even made but isn't that kind of hard to get into? nah it's very easy you can get it with literally just learning 1 build/timing attack and playing enough pls guys. comments like these are full of shit. Being one of the best 3% in something that is competitive is never 'easy' except you are extremely gifted. Also your statement on how its done is so wrong on many levels. You don't need to be extremly gifted to be good at holding a mouse and pressing keys. This is basically what gets you to the top 2% in every game. uhhh no, you have to be better at holding a mouse and pressing keys than 98% of other people who play the game

Well, the only problem I have with that analysis is that the numbers I gave are only of the people who actually play ranked. Id argue that it takes WAY more dedication to hit 30 and get a ranking than it does to buy SC2 and play 5 placement matches.

With that said it is a BIG hurdle learning all the champions which I feel I have finally accomplished since I am now seeing a steady rise in my ELO. When I started out I just kind of jumped right into ranked because I dislike non competitive games which normals are and learned from there, dipping to like 900ish and now sit at 1350. I think I should be able to rise steadily until I reach a point where I need to learn more (wherever that is) I started playing in September.

Well, the only problem I have with that analysis is that the numbers I gave are only of the people who actually play ranked. Id argue that it takes WAY more dedication to hit 30 and get a ranking than it does to buy SC2 and play 5 placement matches. I respectfully disagree, good sir. You assume that only people who are 'dedicated' to competitive play will get to 30 and play ranked, which is simply not true. I have friends in school with me right now, for example, who have had the game for well over a year, some of whom have not even hit 30. Others have but only play once in a while with their friends. Still others have played a couple ranked games here and there, but that's it. There's people all across the spectrum for LoL. In SC2, its reputation and complexity completely shut out (aside from the UMS crowd maybe) anyone who is not out to play competitively. And yes I am well aware that it's only those who play ranked, but if anything that should make the percentiles even smaller at the top. Do you really think there are a ton of 'normal fiends' out there or level 20s who are super secretly really good at the game but don't want to try?

At the same time, this is probably why Xerath hasn't been nerfed yet. They're taking about Xerath right now. Xpecial talking about how Lebanc counters Xerath, Jatt agreeing there are counters to Xerath to the point his team tried to bait other teams to pick Xerath. Doublelift however saying Xerath can't be countered, best AP. Then Wicked making fun of the conversation by saying nobody plays mid. Xpecial saying he does play mid to back up his points about Xerath, but then getting sidetracked into Nasus discussion with Wicked.

The only jungler there is Jatt and he doesn't play pro LoL anymore. Doublelift, Xpecial, wickd, and others probably haven't really played a lot of the junglers (or at least not to know how to really play them). They can still give their opinions on the champ from stuff they've seen in solo queue or in scrims. Although I didn't watch it so I'm just taking stabs in the dark. Speaking of, sad that I stopped watching sotl so early. Would've liked to see locodoco... I'll just catch the vods.
