There's also been a couple of loss forgiven games a couple of days ago. Yep. Since this patch, my screen occasionally freezes in the middle of a teamfight, resulting in me being dead.

He had full crit rune page and started off with brawler's gloves. So I thought npnp I just spin2win as normal since he has no armor, but every crit he hit was taking off 1/3 my life, and of course he hits every 1/3 shots. I started boots + pots and he still managed to push lane and force me to back many times. Is critplank a hard counter to garen, or did I just play bad? I managed to get a couple qe off but I couldn't outdmg him at all, with armor pen + ad quints Im not sure, but dont you almost always want to start 5 pot vs a gp. Pantheon disagrees. Boots+3hp panth wrecks gp in my experience. Especially a brawlers glove opening. Block that bullet all day Who the hell starts brawlers gloves? He mentioned it in the OP.. Pantheon outranges GP, Garen doesn't. They both approach the lane matchup completely differently. You really need that armor against that kind of stupid crit opening. It isn't powerful anymore when his 1/3 chance of critting makes his Qs on your 100 armor bring his crits to barely above what he hits (non-crit) on a low armor target. Yeah you're right. I had dodge seals against him so I had no armor whatsoever. Having armor from runes and cloth would've made it a LOT easier. I almost managed to FB him at lvl 2 with QE but he crit me twice in a row and got first blood instead QQ. So in retrospect having that armor would've made the difference in who got FB , although him being lucky with the crits pissed me off so much that game.
Well to be fair, you might as well have been running mana regen or energy yellows, since dodge is pretty negligible there. If you want a strong early game against every AD bruiser pick armor. Dodge is better late game most of the time, but you'll find dodge to be really weak against champions like Renekton.

He's a good counter for Akali if you can coordinate with your team. She'll usually be top while you're mid, so you time your bottom gank with a jungle gank top and hit ult when she Shrouds to escape. That or you join in top.
The other benefit of AP TF is that he's like Malzahar and doesn't need blue buff to sustain his mana. It helps, but it's not necessary.

and when we talk about AoE damage then you completely forget that its all close range while other ad carries like mf, ezreal, ashe, corki can use their ults from a much safer position, hell some of them are even global. None of those ults hit nearly as hard as Graves. Maybe MF's ult if you stand in it the whole time, Graves' is just one giant burst. His Q is also really damn strong AoE damage if he just jumps in and hits everyone with it. Ranged AD generally specialize in Burst (like Ez), Auto (Trist/Cait/Vayne/Kog), Mobility (Vayne, maybe Ez), AoE (MF and Corki), or Utility (Ashe). Cait and Kog lack burst, Ezreal (and others) lack utility, Kog and Ashe lack mobility. Graves has all fields (Burst with Q/R, Auto with E, Mobility with E, Utility with W, and AoE with Q/R) with none being weaker than any other. Are you saying that his auto attack damage output is anywhere in the realm of vayne, kogmaw, or even tristana? You're just exaggerating to make a really bad point. Graves is a lot more durable ranged character, that can take advantage of that durability and get in close and deal damage. His numbers on his ult might be a little high, but nothing else seems overly strong in its own right.
With an 80% AS steroid that is up so fucking often because it cools fast when you're autoattacking which is also a dash, yes, you can say his sustained damage output is about as high as tristana's. Then you look at the fact that he scales harder with AD than she does (because his skills scale with it too, where trist's scale with AP)

Isn't GP a good counter to Sion ? We had Akali/GP and they had Talon/Sion, what do you think should have been the layout of the lanes ?

I'm just happy Jatt lost. You mean this one? http://liquidlol.wikispaces.com/If someone is willing to bring over the templates from LP (since I don't know how), I can help fill things out. Is there a particular kind of template you're interested in?
There are already a few wikis out there about the champs and items. I'm thinking more along the line of the tournament templates (infoboxes, brackets, etc.) since that's what we are missing in the LoL scene. Maybe the templates I used for this? http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/User:JBright/LoL

I'm just happy Jatt lost. Yeah fuck Jatt, he's such a nice guy and stuff. Hate that. Well, minus the whole possibly cheating, lying about said cheating, and just being a general dick about it, sure, great guy. I asked someone on Dignitas about it. They talked to the admins months ago and asked, the admins ok'd it. If anyone is at fault its the admin, I can't blame them for playing someone when they were told they could. He was still a total dick about the whole situation. And WCG admins still haven't said a thing about the situation to anyone but Dignitas. And CDE were so nice, personally insulting dignitas members and saying "if they win we'll just get them DQ'd". They are just as bad if not worse. On top of that I feel like they'll do a much poorer job representing the United States at WCG.

Is it me or am I seeing Shaco in just about every dominion game I play now, often twice in blind pick. Also seeing him a lot more in normals. Is this just a temporary reaction to his buffs, or is he as completely dominant as his representation suggests? I admit, going up against AP shaco in dominion is frustrating as hell, hitting a Jitb does sometimes 1/3 of my health before I kill it or get out of range after the fear wears off.

Shaco is just flat out strong on Dom. The fear from boxes disrupts capping.
|
This should go in the qq thread but since we're on the topic of Shaco... This jungle shaco on my team was level 17 when we lost 57 minutes in...
I know when I'm vs a jungle Shaco and he tries to gank my lane, 9 times out of 10 I'm going to just focus him down and kill him.

Is there some special thing for Halloween that they are doing for wins? the rectangle that contains my RP and IP numbers on the base page is kinda flashing a faint light that outlines the box and it has a number 10 in the corner that say "10 wins left" when I hover my mouse over it.

That's +IP Bonus for 10 games.
Riot won Golden Joystick award again this year. This is the prize for the masses.

For those who are math-inclined...
Is the IP win bonus best used on SR or Dom?
|
Since it's a "per win"-bonus it is most effective for first win of the day-games on SR.
|
It doesn't double the +150 IP from first win of the day bonus. The reason it is more effective on SR is that the games tend to last longer so you get more IP which leads to a larger boost.

Don't let yourself get drawn into brushes where he's got 5 of them piled up and you're usually alright, his straight damage isn't too high.

Mode-based reductions do apply to boosts (e.g. Custom/Co-op get reduced values, as does playing on Dominion). I *think* playing TT gives full value on the boost but I'm not sure.

Per-win boosts always assume that your game hit the duration cap for IP gains.
Dominion has a %-reduction on IP gained. So do co-ops and custom games. The %-reduction applies to boosts as well, which is why you want to spend your boosts on SR.

I'm pretty sure they changed it a while ago so that the x win boosts always give the maximum amount of IP (in terms of game length). I also think I might have read that ranked gives slightly more than normals as well.

So getting all 10 wins in the same day gives you the same amount of IP as spacing the wins out over multiple days correct?
Edit: Woo hoo! It's my birthday in Korea!
