really dont get why graves range is so high on skills. Thought he was supposed to do relatively cq fighting, but his aoe has hilarious range and goes through creeps.
Didnt buy him yet, but i believe it doesnt even lose dmg for targets hit?

Graves was made by the same team that made rumble. Rumble was also completely OP at launch...

I agree that his scaling is quite high, base stats could do a bit of a reduce, but im afraid he might get overnerfed at one point.

This is what does it for me. He doesn't feel stupid strong right out of the box the way, say, Vayne did, but his kit is very clearly not 100% straightforward. If he's making this good of a showing day 1 where he doesn't look weak, then when people actually figure out how to play him he's going to be "OP".

Caitlyn replaced MF months ago. Graves is super late to that party ^_^

How does Caitlyn replace MF?

Caitlyn has poorer late-game scaling than most AD carries. MF has some of the best scaling late-game damage in the game, particularly when it comes to AoE. In terms of MF's niche of being a vulnerable late-game AD carry with high AoE damage output, Cait is hardly the carry that obsoletes her in that role--Kog'maw and Corki probably are closer to it.

And I don't think Graves really fills that niche either. As far as his kit goes, he has a strong ASpd steroid for single target fighting, decent mobility and durability, and strong up-front single-target burst. His AoE damage, while respectable, is not really the core of his kit, the way it is for MF or Corki.

Yeah thats pretty much what I meant, i'm just hoping they don't somehow screw him up when they nerf him o.O but yeah like you said, their recent changes has been good so far :D I have yet to see Skarner though.

I think Riot should give Akali a "rework", like they did with Kayle and Alistar where they change her passive to do something better, like bonus damage to towers.

Skarner is better then before, but only when he gets in range to spam his aoe slow thing. If he gets in range to do that hes ridiculous. If he cant then hes still where he was.

Rageblade seems like a no-brainer for him, given that he uses all the stats, and can guarantee entering any fight with 8 stacks and keeping them up indefinitely (Rageblade stacks last 4 seconds, and Q's base CD is 3.5). I was thinking of a core looking something like Cloth+5pot->Boots->Rageblade->Aegis->Triforce/GA/QSS in some order. Thoughts?

So I take it the new general consensus is that Graves is worth buying? Or do you think he'll get a nerf in the first few weeks?

Honestly, he looks like a lot of fun, but I'm always wary of buying new champs only for them to get nerfed right away because of general qq. Hasn't happened in a while, but yeah.

its not the attack speed or ult buff thats help its that they normalized his q and increased the damage
In terms of building him id get wriggles just for the passive + lifesteal to help with sustain slightly. Rageblade is definitely a great item on him same with gunblade. Your build seems pretty solid but to me skarner needs some sort of sustain for team fights to really be good. then again its my 2 cents
