trilane-pushing (dota): a strategy where your team pushes all three lanes simultaneously with 3 tanky carries basicly all the time while 2 supports help out where they can to prevent losses.
backdooring: killing turrets/inhibitors/nexus without minion support.
turrets are 2 times as strong as they are without minion support. if someone is able to backdoor effectively then you probably have to force a 5on5 with a fast push which will most likely turn into a basetrade.
however, there are champions that can stop yi from backdooring if you got teleport up or sth like that but those are few.
Interesting, i've never heard of/seen Trilane pushing, sounds pretty epic and annoying. But won't they be incredibly easy to gank?
I wanna add to my story that Yi split pushed a little bit to kill the inner turrent while we were trying to push then he started bding

Then i realised whatever wins you the game wins you the game, such is LoL or any MOBA game for that matter. There is no cheap, no lame, no dishonourable, there is only winning and losing.
Think about it, the entire game revolves around never picking a fair fight. Whatever makes you win makes you win.
That said i still don't like it but i have learned to live with it. I don't think you find fair fights anywhere what's the point in that anyway and if you win a fair fight it's not fair because you were more skilled to begin with or if it was by chance, then what are you proud of? Thanks for repeating what i said?

So if it just me, or does Amumu not really fit the current US meta in ranked?

I've never had one original thought in my life.
And you'll thank me for it!

It just seems he is not picked/banned very often (or at least at 1200 elo).

Somewhat, Amumu not that useful with a bruiser top and Lee Singah/Noc/Pirate/Udyr just do a lot more earlygame than mummy and also do more with farm.

Well for one thing, at that level, maybe they can't hit the bandage toss?
But, and correct me if I'm wrong, isn't Amumu more of a support jungler? He relies a bit more heavily on his team to take advantage of his initiation skills. You can't always count on that in solo queue, especially at lower levels. I think that would explain quite clearly why people would then prefer to play as more of a carry-jungler who has a more independent effect on the game.

TF used to be first ban first pick because of his ultimate. Global vision and a teleport on moderately short cd. The ability to one shot minion waves and be able to escape when some one comes to stop, plus being an above average duler, made the enemy team have to try to push a 5v4, and seige a turret, or send resources to stop tf's split push. The problem is in solo queue at lower levels the team may react by sending 2 guys after the TF which allowed him to teleport into the team fight and make a 5 man push/seige with only 3 defending.
Amumu is still a solid pick with dual AP compositions, and can even work with bruiser top lane / AD burst. Anybody that can do tons of damage if a champion is stuck in place for a second loves amumu, and he also pairs well with aeo comps, but can be replaced by sona and no one would notice the difference. Something like Amumu Kogmaw Karma Talon Morgana would be a scarey team.

i see him banned/picked around 1/4 of my games (1300-1400).
A general question: What do you do when you go on winning/losing streaks? I feel like whenever I go on a 5-6 winning streak, I try to play more (as you would in gambling during a hot streak) and then end up going on a 5-6 game losing streak. It's as if the matchmaking says "oh you're on a winning streak? here have some 20 game leaver/troll/unranked noob on your team"... and it's not that i'm the one who's tired and making poor decisions/feeding.

Problem with mummy in solo queue is that he can't really carry games that you are losing and has a significantly weaker early game than the current top tier junglers due to his really weak pre4 ganks and the lack of flexibility.

I'm pretty shure it's random but because of the randomness in short terms (team mates) winning/loosing sprees are pretty likely to occur. Personally almost always stop playing when I loose two games in a row.

I want to try out a similar double jungle/roaming strat to reginald and dyrus with my friend in some normals. Suggestions on how to do this?
For champions I'm thinking blitzcrank, alistar, rammus, maybe evelynn? I don't want to learn how to play shaco so hes out of the question

attackijing: play double jungle roaming with taric and garen.

Is there any interesting trick I wouldn't figure out on my own or is it just common sense? I figure we can just use the minimap to track camps and stuff.

It's pretty common advice to quit after you've lost a couple games. The reason isn't because random matchmaking is random, but because you the player are likely to be fairly frustrated at that point. This can lead to very bad decision making during the game which only compounds the problem.
Quitting after a loss isn't satisfying, but it's better than going on a full tilt.

The main thing about Amumu is that you have to be able to pick around his weak early game. He has poor pre-6 presence, so he can get bullied in the jungle unless you have champs with strong early game skirmishing to make that kind of bullying risky for the enemy (Alistar, Annie, etc.). He takes a pick or two to set up properly so he's not really ban/1st-pick material, but he's still fine to round out 3rd-5th pick in certain team comps.

I've only played about ten ranked games, and in every single one amummu was banned. Dat hatred.
