At level 1 Q you are totally open as soon as you Q a creep because the CD is so long. For the most part Nasus at least have sustain and you're sending him top where, again, you can afford to have Q tiered up(or for that matter, have no choice because it's melee vs melee there). Would you really max Q if you were fighting an annie as Nasus? How would that work out for you exactly?
Get zone a bit, last hit everything at tower.

First question: How to you expect to beat an annie with maxed E or W? Your mana pool runs out a lot faster and her ranged auto attack means you lose 100 health just to auto hits before you can even close a gap. Then she out dps's you anyway because you have level 1 Q. She can run away as soon as whither runs out if you run away because of creep+annie aggro you die.
Just ignore her and farm, run away so you never eat more than 1 auto hit, unless she chases you and has to draw creep aggro. Every time she draws creep aggro she pushes the lane and annie in a pushed top lane is a free kill for any jungler+nasus because of wither.
If you are going to get too low around level 3 when her spells start to hurt you can just sit at tower and farm and wait for a gank.
Survive with your potions+insane lifesteal especially on Q's. When you get low teleport back with full health, possibly a philo, more health pots a ward and boots. You only want to try to fight when she is low mana and you are full just whither+E+Q her a few times, probably not worth it unless you are so powerful that you can zone her because an annie with 100 health kills you just as easily as an annie with full health and you take lots of unnecessary damage.
After she can't get you low with her combo you can go and kill her if you want but it's kind of risky might as well just safely farm and kill her with jungler because it's so easy to gank annie in top lane if she pushes and can't 1 combo one of you.
Nasus is all about relying on tower and creeps and jungler do all the work for you while healing with a level 5 Q that gets stacked up pretty fast and just generally ignoring the other guy until you do 1/5 of his health with Q and have your ultimate making you auto win every 1v1.

The champions I own: - Lux - Twisted Fate - Corki - Master Yi - (I've played Brand when he was free, probably going to buy him when my IP gets back up)
Any suggestions on which one to focus on? I like playing high damage and/or high mobility characters, so those are the ones I went for, but (obviously) they all have drawbacks. Corki and Brand. Tristana. I haven't yet played her, how does she play? Straight AD/AS carry? Hugest mobility of any AD carry (her jump CD resets on kills/assists), strongest AS steroid (90% at lvl 5), healing reduction and a knockback ult (most effective way to protect yourself from bitches like Irelia who ignore any other form of cc anyway) to keep divers off your ass. Early game she's pretty much a very strong burst caster that goes in with jump+e+later ult, once she has her IE she's a straight AD carry. Edit: And she's dirt cheap or even free if you like league of legends on facebook. =P Hm, I suppose I'll get her via Facebook and try her out. I never really thought of her that much, she seems to be pretty much the same as Corki, but with slightly different abilities (Valk/Jump, etc). Corki has loads of AoE damage and way stronger poke + his armor shred. Trist has way more single target damage when it really comes down dirty (90% AS steroid and IE, yes please) and her huge range lategame+the CD reset thingy makes her more mobile. The two are really not similar at all (especially considering item builds), except for having a jump ability on W. =P
Hah, I guess that's true. The thing that always bothered me about Corki was the fact that, for AD builds, you really need to get up close and personal for Gatling Gun to do it's work, and getting that close as a squishy ranged type is never good news. Maybe I'm just misjudging the range on it.

You can start the NA patch download. Doesn't seem as big as they were saying.
Maybe we'll get the servers back up earlier than expected? hurr hurr

If I'm understanding it correctly, I think Lee Sin will prioritize auto attacking champions instead of minions when casts Resonating Strike. So after you dash halfway accross the map to kick someone in the balls be half their health you will automatically start hitting them instead of the caster minion next to them and don't have to waste time spam clicking their avatar to target them. Which is a good thing since if you spam click too much you just sit there as the game doesn't understand what your command is.
Either that or you can hit a minion with Sonic Wave and then Resonating Strike to the nearest champion. I hope it's this one. ^^

riot is so annoying, delaying the eu patch for stability reasons and then shutting down all Eu servers anyways. Now LoL is down, its too hot to do university stuff, so im down to watching survivor episodes :D
about leesin, i guess its the same as they did with the other charges in the last patches.

Oh I'm not saying you should go ahead and fight annie. To me it's more of a question whether you can make good use of leveling up the Q if you can't use it off cooldown when you're getting pressured. I didnt' consider the fact that Nasus's sustainability increases as his Q scales up. I think it's possible for Nasus to lose this lane as often as he wins depending on lane control + jungler + how fast annie gets her catalyst or whatever and whether they pass her a blue buff etc.... in any case I don't really have any wherewithal to argue that maxing Q is bad for Nasus.
|
Thoughts on the Kayle changes in the patch? Will the damage buff and improved stat scaling be enough to bring her back into viability? With her Q buff it seems like GRB will be a goto item once again on her.
Might be able to pull a Jax and go GRB -> HGB -> HGB -> HGB ->HGB and just heal back to full during your ult.
Still want her old passive with her new Q...

Lower CD Q helps a lot last hitting at tower also.

[24/08/2011 - 16:50] We are currently restarting the server platform. [24/08/2011 - 17:31] We will be bringing down the platform to restore service. Once again thanks for your patience and understanding while we resolve the issue.
Riot Eu server team back from gamescom.

Just started playing Twisted Fate... what the heck is he supposed to be good at? Everyone says he's a good champ, always high in the tier lists, but what does he do well, aside from poke with Wild Card? He does bad damage, is super squishy, and has terrible range. What pluses does he have?
|
Thats old tf back when he had a global ult. New tf isnt great.

He could backdoor slut like the best of them.
Then they nerfed his ulti, stopping it from being a global. Now he is complete and utter shit.
Personally i always felt he was shit but i just figured it was because i couldn't play him worth a damn. After the nerf everyone has tossed him in the trash.

So the only thing he was good at was teleporting? Meh, I say. Definately wasn't worth the 1350 he cost.

Gatling Gun's range is deceptively long, you just need to get a few hits for the debuff and then you can get away for Missile damage.

New kayle changes may help make her viable again. I still think the damage amplification on q still needs to be back to what it used to be on higher levels of q considering she lost a lot of base damage with the passive change.

The new TF is still fine, he's just not batshit broken. I've seen plenty of perfectly good TFs, if not dominating.
He's an AP hero with one of the best burst damage, has sick sustain, decent laning power if you're good with gold + WC, farms well, punches down towers like they don't exist, and still has map control.
People're acting like he's suddenly shit tier when he still has a pretty good ranged teleport.
