If you want to get slapped in the face, look to blizzard for not putting up any money for their own game. Doesn't Blizzard actually charge people to run their game? Like 50% cut of the advertising revenue if it's over 5k. Now that's a slap in the face. (http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=247210) Gamescon is this coming weekend, so I guess we'll see how well League does there. It'll probably have more viewers compared to MLG since the EU teams will actually be there.

Justin.tv is so much better. I hope the MLG stream will be as good as the SC2 streams in the last two MLGs. I have the opposite opinion. I have constant problems with justin.tv and never any problem with own3d.tv.

But based on some of the numbers that I've heard for previous LoL streams, I think it will do very well... I kind of find myself hoping it doesn't do too well though, as I find DOTA style games to be dreadfully boring to watch. I guess what I'm saying is that I want them to be successful, but I don't want them to take any of SC2's thunder D: There're no Koreans in LoL, so it's not supposed to be bigger than SC2.

So would the 15 million registered players, 1.4 million daily players and 3.7 million active hours of LoL games a day.

SO getting an esports scene around it is a massive blessing to see how such a gigantic community fits with it.

Dont care for it myself, but im fine with it as long as it furthers esports. Now...to just get SF4 at MLG......Then we'll have a crowd.

It's sad though that LoL still doesn't have a proper observer mode and we'll probably still see the crappy 6 player obs mode. -_- League of Legends has a much improved observer mode, they released it at dreamhack tho no pause feature lol

I agree that this is good for e-sports but to use the amount of users that actively play it a day as a basis for how well the game is to do would not be an accurate representation. I'm sure both Halo and CoD have more players a day than SC2, but look at the spectator numbers for each game.

200k people watched the dreamhack lol tournament at the same time. No one cares if you dont like it. 200k other people DO like to watch it. And 200k was WAY more than the sc2 streams pulled at dreamhack.
