Tank the wave and kill all melee minions(they should be killed while your wave is attacking theirs) and leave 3-4 ranged minions. Tank them until your wave hits their wave, then lasthit them. After your next wave dies, leave 3 ranged minions again, and repeat this endlessly.
You're going to always need to tank the minions but if you're say, ranged AD bot with a Soraka, it should be relatively easy, and this way you can completely shut down a Panth/Taric lane, for instance. The lane will never leave your turret and the enemy can't lasthit without being harrassed, you're completely safe and can get every single lasthit if you just never autoattack and always leave 3 ranged minions with as much health as possible. 2 Ranged minions might be enough but then you'll probably need to skip lasthitting both of them, you really need to save your lasthits for the melee minions.
What makes this strategy fail: If a melee minion wanders into your turret range and gets killed by it, it instantly ruins it and makes your lane push, that's why you must kill them before they get the chance. Really? Yes! ok, so you seriously sit there, tanking the creep wave vs. retarded damage and 3 seconds worth of stun and they don't just kill you? I mean, sure, I guess that could work...

You know they can just attack you while you're tanking their minions outside of your turret range. Even if you're perfectly just outside your turret range, Pantheon can at least still spear you (not to mention if they have a lane like Cait/Taric you're just gonna eat autos all day).
That strategy works if you have lane dominance (such that they can't fight you straight up) and you have strong sustain. For example Nidalee post 6 can tank minions, heal up like nothing, and beat people in trades most of the time. It doesn't work if you have a weak harass lane against a strong burst lane...

Yeah as you can do it almost in the safety of your turret with a Soraka heal on you o_o 3 seconds? If pantheon jumps in first he's instantly in turret range and that's not going to go well, if Taric stuns first, you might need to move back, but I'm still not sure since Panth would need to go into turret range to stun you
And this might work better on sololane as Mordekaiser or Nidalee but that's still how you do it.

Not to mention you don't get mana regen so he can't even harrass with spears after the combo as he'll be oom until you're full hp again.

Really? Yes! Okay let's call it creep wave control still, it's good to do with Soraka because she can heal while giving you armor, and it's also good to do with someone like Mordekaiser because he has the shield 3 big flaws I see with this:
1) by ceding creep advantage, you allow panth/taric to hit level 2 first. That's extremely likely to get one of you gibbed.
2) soraka heal doesn't get that potent till level 3 or 5. You're going to be hard-pressed to tank creeps before then.
3) what do you do if they freeze the lane and zone you?

2) Normally you'll have that kind of levels by the time the lane gets to that point if you deal with it properly, but you can let only 1-2 ranged minions live and lasthit a bit less creeps
3) that's what happens by default and you must wait

A better way to improve Shikyo's guide is to just use your snare on the creeps so they can't get past a certain point in the lane. Oh yeah and make sure to snare creeps on ganks to prevent KS.

BP's guide to laning. (more OP than Shikyo's guide - huehuehue)
1. Pick champ that can clear wave in 2 seconds. (sion, mordekaiser, etcetc) 2. Clear wave. 3. Go off and kill someone while your lane is pushed to the tower and opponents tower is taking damage. 4. 20 mins in you have over 150 cs, enemy tower down, with 5+ kills and carry TapiocaBall to victory saying you're tryharding and that he should calm the hell down cause he's too bad to get 5+ kills like BP
Dyrus uses this guide as singed and mordekaiser with good results (replace "TapiocaBall" with any name)

morgana is great for this too. Plus if someone tries to gank you, you Q them, dance for 2 seconds, hit them with your 30dmg autoattack and then waddle back to your turret.

She would be included in the "etcetc" portion of the guide. Basically my guide works really well in solo q or vs champs not good at clearing waves. They either tank the creeps like shikyo apparently does to keep them by his tower. Eventually cause I'm gone and because he took all the damage from the wave himself by tanking the creeps, the wave will push back with a triple wave of creeps and I can clear it in 2 seconds again and go off to kill his jungler once more. Additionally since he's at his tower he can't see the rest of his lane, so I'm basically always mia except for those 2 seconds I'm there to clear the wave again in 1 giant burst and you get to have his team yell at him for "no mia" Or his tower takes a million damage and slowly dies from the creeps just pushing cause I clear it so fast. And I still go kill his jungler and he gets yelled at for "no mia" and then the jungler says "top/mid being a noob shit, I go afk now."
(this guide is preferred for solo lane)

lol, if thats true its hilarious, Riot officials basically saysing their balance is so bad, of you take certain summoners, you get banned for it.

That's actually pretty sad, I think his reasonings were fine and that he shouldn't be banned for that. That shouldn't be against rules.
