I am very happy to present the first episode of TeamLiquid Lolz. It was a lot of fun recording it and I hope there's some useful information and fun tidbits in there. Below is my youtube channel that contains the videos:
It could definitely use a lot of work for future episodes. Some stuff off the top of my head that I am looking to improve:
1) Better Questions The questions were all over the place in terms of topics and I obviously ran out of stuff to ask by the 3rd game. Next time I'll be prepared with better questions as well as try to keep the conversation on a logical route.
2) Better Camera I realize watching ww jungle half the game is not the most interesting gameplay. Next time I will try to focus the camera mostly on the guest so you guys can watch more high elo gameplay. I don't know how exactly I will accomplish this but perhaps I'll do afk jungling with ww or pick a roamer and only gank one lane or something.
3) More Professionalism This was my first time doing anything like this and I realize that there's a lot of areas I can improve in my hosting. To be honest I really didn't know what I was doing but I'm sure it'll get better with more practice and experience.
4) Small Things Need better transitions between games. A title screen and some introduction would be nice over just jumping randomly into a loading screen. My microphone is not loud enough. I need better recording software and equipment....
Well anyways thanks to SmashGizmo and hope you guys enjoy the show. Please give me any feedback you may have and if you guys like it, I'll make another episode next week.
I'm proud to announce that I will be doing a League of Legends show called TeamLiquid Lolz. Each episode I will invite a high-elo player to smurf solo ranked queue with me and play some fun unranked games. Along the way we will discuss competitive play as well as shoot the breeze and have a good time (aka trollfest).
Our first guest is none other than SmashGizmo aka Mogwai on the forums. He has graciously accepted to record with me this week and I will be posting the show on youtube as soon as it is finished.
I will be also asking your questions during the show so ask whatever you want from serious to troll in this topic. Stay tuned and support TeamLiquid fighting!

Not a detailed enough question. Ask him to explain why Heartseeker Strike is the greatest and most balanced ability in the game.
I can answer that. It doesn't do any damage, therefore no QQ. Imagine if nothing did damage. Champs just run around screaming DEMACIAAAAAAA. No QQ. Perfectly balanced.
Filming of the first episode is actually done. I really like how it came out and I'll be posting it to youtube shortly. Thanks to Smash who talked and played like a champ.
Apparently video compressing and uploading takes a million years with my computer. Might take me a day or two before I get all the videos online.
EDIT: Apparently only 406 minutes until the first game is uploaded to youtube, given that the upload won't fail or the video gets deleted from being too long. I changed my channel status to director which supposedly gives you the right to have longer videos, but I don't think it's that easy.

Isn't he the same Azen that was beast at Smash Bros?
I've only had good experiences with Azen in queue even though he picks janky characters. But yes, it is the same guy who won 2 Melee MLGs back in 06 or 07 or whenever those were.
It is very difficult to provide a general benchmark CS because it is extremely variable depending on your champion, lane, role, and the opposing team. The only thing I can say is that you should be aiming to last hit every single minion safely while attempting to deny your opponent last hits safely. If you are ahead of your opposing laner, you are probably doing a good job. There are some champ specific benchmarks but I don't really know them.
So I guess I should start making a new episode soon. Someone told me to add more content to my channel if I want the show to become more popular, so I will probably try to do some basic tutorials and fun stuff like troll games or ARAM games.

So basically you're farming every creep in every wave unless other factors come in?
Damn man you gotta teach me how to cs like that =/

My only shoutouts were accidental :p I need to work on my interviewing obv.
Re: everyone looking for benchmarks: Stop. Go into a practice game alone. Go mid. Get every last hit on the lane for 10 minutes. Chances are, you'll miss a few on the tower, and that's OK, but try to pay attention to how many you miss in the middle of the lane and just keep spamming practice games until you stop missing easy CS. Benchmarks are a stupid way to look at it IMO, it's much better to pay attention to how you're doing relative to your laning opponent in games. If you think you're in a bad elo, you should be crushing your opponent's CS every game and if you're not, you have some work to do. (and yes, this even includes bad matchups. when I play on a smurf, I crush even unwinable matchups in CS because people simply don't know how to last hit while harassing effectively.)
this was very entertaining to watch. I felt this episode was pretty much a podcast about SG's opinions about the game with the occasional breaks to actually focus on the match itself.
