Pretty sure I'm to blame for all mistakes.

Maybe you should make another [Learning Shit] thread with that information and then tell everyone to get on your level.

No, the point of this thread is to outline some of the areas you should be focusing on when trying to improve yourself as a player. Of course you're always going to hear "play the game more" in threads like these, as that is how you gain experience. However, just playing lots of games might not be that helpful to you, or might not be the most efficient way to improve, if you're not actually trying to focus on specific aspects of your play. This thread is about discussing those specific aspects that you should be thinking about and why they separate the best from the rest. I really shouldn't have to explain this to you, but it seems like you're just trying to find fault with the OP for some reason.

That's a pretty large leap there pal. Especially since Numbers (the OP) and 5hit are two different people and I had no issue with the OP.

Trying to link me not liking the way 5hit posted something in one thread and making a sarcastic response is not the same as not liking all threads similar to this one. However, that is not the point of this thread, if you want to continue the discussion of what you believe I do/don't like, feel free to PM me. Back on topic - I have started to blame Chrispy and my ELO is already up 150 points tonight. #1 tip thanks TL!

This makes you less vulnerable to harass and especially skillshots. There are many more uses for this, especially on champions with lower attack speed like alistar. If you have sheen, you can stun, move hit, headbutt, move hit. This cancels the time where you're spent doing nothing and just standing. In teamfights, likewise with carry. You want to attack, and move to get better mobility or kite to keep enemy champions off of you. More important for kiting. Just think trying to chase someone with Ashe and her Frost Arrow.

I guess Alistar is a better example of what I was asking but it's essentially just not standing and idly autoattacking.

Now in my quest to learn how to carry I must know: what do you do when you are winning your lane but bottom and/or top are losing theirs? How do you know when to help/gank without losing too much of your turret?

There are still so many places where I lose and I don't know how else I could have helped, my previous question being one of them. For example: I'm 2 and 0 or something like that on Caitlynn. Mid turret is at 1/3 health. Top lane is slowly going down but my laning opponent is still there. Seems to me what I should be doing is farming as Caitlynn falls off heavily lategame if not properly farmed, and does not have a strong gank at all since she can't chase well. One game I tried this, but once top turret went down I lost my ability to farm as the enemy team from top lane/jungler came mid to push. I dunno I guess there is no one strategy that would work in all situations, but I'm trying to really improve my game sense in solo games when my communication with the other team is subpar. This is one area I definitely need to work on.
