I fuck around in ranked because I have no distinction between ranked and normal, with the exception that I dick around more in normal so it's less likely that I'll have opponents that outclass random TL pickups and such. As for dicking around later in "won games" it's because of complacency. This isn't some LoL-constrained phenomenon, and it's not a dbag phenomenon either, it's human nature. You're ahead, you feel comfortable enough to do something off the wall. Sometimes you pay for it. But whatever. The opportunity to have a 6000 gold lead and be able to buy a Gunblade is too tempting sometimes. And it's just one game anyways. Edit: Back when we tryharded 5rank I think most of our team also "fucked around" in solo ranked because it was the best way to testrun a concept or hero or whatever. Amazingly, normal games tend to be utterly garbage for actually giving something a good test. This usually means that we're trying some bizarro build or practicing a hero and not playing up to what our elo would suggest. It's also why I mentioned way back a year or so ago that solo queue is a crapshoot because you never know when that "high rated player" is checking something out, even if they're absolutely dead serious. | ||

In other words: The majority is against trolling ranked games and you also are supposed to follow that Summoner's Code thingy which includes a no trolling guideline afaik. Either you follow the majority and the Summoner's Code or you deal with the consequences (QQ + possible ban). | ||

Yes it's dumb to troll people you don't know in solo queue. But if you're premading its really not that hard to get everyone on the same page. | ||

Hm. You can get reported in any game mode (even Co-Op v AI) if you're ruining the gaming experience for others. The action taken will depend on what you did. The Tribunal is only a guide. Final punishment is determined by Customer Service so the Tribunal can always be overruled. The way I see it is that Normals is where you test is some really random thing you thought of to see if it's even actually viable, and then once you have an idea how it should work you go to Ranked or something. Why would you solo normal to practice something specific? Most of the time you won't even get the role you want--especially if its solo laning and the other 4 players all instalock solos. | ||
