That's with just minion score and no champion kills, might be able to get it even sooner. 21min isn't bad but if you win your lane that clearly, well... work on your lasthitting. =) It's especially simple with Annie | ||

I was more talking in terms of the absolute amount of gold farmed, not so much the items themselves~ But if you are really raping that hard, you can just go get a Mejais and gank the heck out of everyone. What items you get is really a function of how long you can stay in lane - if you stayed long enough to farm up the 3.6kish for deathcap, then there is no reason not to just rush it. But if you are backing at lvl 5, having pushed up the wave and backed before them, you want to use that first buy advantage and get things like sorc boots or such to nail you that lvl6 kill. Or, if you are aiming to farm for forever, you can get a cata and have a really strong laning presence, etc. | ||

With the nerf to DRing starting cost, I can't possibly justify it over starting with Sapphire Crystal + 2 potions anymore. DRing's mana regen doesn't catch up to Sapphire Crystal's flat mana provided until you're like level 6, around which you're going to be getting a kill/backing. After that, it's basically comparing 2 potions + faster Catalyst (which you should be getting--best freaking laning item in the game and Rod of Ages is one of Annie's best item options) vs. 100 HP and 15 AP. And IMO 2 potions + faster Catalyst is significantly better. Basically I'd start either Crystal+2pot or DShield. I can't see a justifiable reason for DRing anymore. With regard to what you buy, the big stop-gap is Needlessly Large Rod. You don't really want to back to base and then buy nothing, as it will weaken you for coming engagements, but if you ever get a trip back where you have 1600 at once, pick up that NLR. Once you get over the NLR hump, gathering up gold for the smaller components (Blasting Wand and recipe) is much easier. Basically if I can back with 1600 at once, I'll pick up that NLR. If I back with ~800ish, I'll generally take a Blasting Wand or finishing Sorcs over heading back to lane empty-handed. | ||

I dont like deathcap first on her. She gains a lot more with another volley of spells through survival than she does with tons of ap. | ||

When Deathcap first came out, I'm pretty sure its raw cost-effectiveness outweighed any character-specific qualms about AP as a damage source. Haven't played enough Annie since the successive nerfs to the imbahat to judge now. I did notice that TheOddOne is favoring finishing Rod of Ages over rushing Deathcap. | ||

BTW I always open dshield on annie, maybe vs a weak laner I should consider going fast sapphire crystal+2 pots. The hp regen armour and health is definitely invaluable against a tough lane, however. Mana isn't an issue with annie since you just need mana to kill them not to kill creeps. I tend to push and back early at about 1k gold for wards + boots+ sapphire crystal, to prepare for my level 6 so I can roam somewhat and get enough damage out to kill at least 1 person. Maybe that's stupid; but I'm paranoid of getting ganked anyway. | ||
